Nuno to leave Wolves

Will Tim Nash will be announcing Robbie Keane as the new managers first signing?

We still have a good squad, it’s just whether we can get the right manager.

it’s not even relegation I’m that worried about. Sure without Nuno right now that possibility increases, I just don’t think I’m ever going to feel an emotional attachment to a manager like this again
Yeah, this is it for me too. Nuno won't ever be forgotten in Wolverhampton

Can honestly only think they've pulled the trigger as someone has become available who they consider to be better. We won't be waiting round long with Mendes.

If you believe Tim, yeah. In unrelated news, I'm looking forward to Robbie Keane signing.
More than one person is saying a very similar thing. From how this has panned out i'm inclined to not dismiss everything because one person wrote it. It makes sense because even today The Athletic did a piece on Nuno and how he was thinking about next season. This wasn't a long term thing but a decision made in the last few days imo.

Doesn't Tim report what Percy reports and Tim reports what Tim reports?
Pretty much. Percy is normally spot on, when Lambert was getting booted, even though it was a puff piece the basic fact was correct

Wasn't Lambert mates with Percy though? Or was that another journo? I seem to remember Lambert feeding someone information.

Yep, that was him. Obviously, it was spun favourably, but he was the one who broke he was being bulleted

It is a possibilty that a manager has come up, but it's a shitty way they have treated a decent man, and the best manager we've had in decades. I don't care if it's business. There is a way to do that, and there's not the way to do it.

The fact he’s been nudged and left with us still in a good position means his still held in the highest regard.
If the things go south from here he’ll be elevated to a god like status.

I tend to look at who it is that's reporting it. Majority of the time they're all rehashing each other's reports.

I guess because usually one reporter gets the scoop, and the others nick snippets off the scoop. Not sure Nuno has ever had a trusted go to reporter.

I think with Nuno we all felt longevity and safety. He united the fans and his players and we all bought into his philosophy of one pack. I don't think we will see that again for a long time

We have to hope this is the reason. At least that gives us a fighting chance and not scrabbling around for someone. If they say it should be sorted in 2 weeks you'd hope they've already had initial contact with their 1st choice and they're confident in making it happen.

Fonseca is out of a job after this weekend so he'd be ideal as no compo required as with someone like Lopetegui.

Just got to hope they can convince him. The Portugese links should hopefully help, and the fact he likes a ball player in the centre of a back three (Coady) too. That video says he uses a box to box midfielder though which we don't have (no I'm not counting Donk).

The decision could have been made months ago, they could have just told him a few days ago.
