Nuno to leave Wolves

TBH I don't think Adama's stock will be all that high anyway. He hasn't had the best season minus the last handful of games.
none has..name a player over him except neto then?

They want lopategui (sp?) first and almost got him. That would have been a mega appointment

Oh absolutely.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Jeff Shi by a long shot, but this next appointment really does need to push us to the next level now. Whether that's in terms of playing style or points.

And whoever it is needs the financial backing to do it.

Neto is in no danger, nor Raul - not with their injuries. Neves and Traore of course are possibilities. To be honest it could turn out that the new bloke won't fancy them as players and will move them all on regardless.

I certainly don't see Coady or Dendoncker staying for very long.
I can't imagine any manager that is attack minded would not want Traore or Neves tbf. Donk agreed. Coady depends. If Nuno manages again i wouldn't be surprised if he comes to get Coady.

You always think it's a case of just throw a load of attacking players on the pitch and push forward. It doesn't work like that.

We've never really played scintillating football under Nuno and we never would have in the future. It was successful football though. I'll happily take that.

I hope you and your ilk are happy tonight, I'm not.

The new manager may try Coady in a two, he's very highly rated by pretty much every football fan outside of Wolves - including commentators and other managers.

I know its now just about put attacking players on, hell, I even wrote that myself tonight if you have read it? Look at my first post in this thread, not happy at all, but life goes on right..we just have to thank Nuno for what he has done and what a great person he is and getting a team/wolfpack together..but yeah, we can play a bit more positive football IMO and then Adama should be in there

Lots of subplots regarding the key Nuno era players, Coady, Jimenez, Neves & Traore chiefly. Think Moutinho would have been free transfer moving anyway.

It's possible on the latter. I think Coady is a great team player and leader. He just has a couple of bad parts to his game, which we have all discussed on here a hundred times. I'd like to see him stay 100%.

He would be fine with a proper DM in front and either Boly of old or a new CB . Perhaps we will see 6 or 7 ins and outs now . At least we should see a bigger nucleus of first team players whom ever they appoint. Lamberts departure was similar to this IIRC? *Certainly looking for a good last performance now .

*with regard to timing

Just to chime in, I'm quite devastated with these news. Properly upset. But I think it is as much Nuno's will as it is the Board.

Clearly he was at the end of tenure, his energy and just willpower were gone. The last year was terrible on him, tbh.

Sad to see him go though.

With this said, a word of thanks for him and his staff. He made us all dream and soar. He deserves his spot in our history as one of the greatest.

He will be missed.

Similarities between the way Fosun run the club and Leicester's owner's approach (minus the title obvs) They have taken hard decisions and kept the connection and community feel going whilst still progressing, so fingers crossed.

Is mutual consent so hard to believe under the circumstances?

Goes something like.

Nuno: I think I’m done boss, mentally I’m not right, I’m running on empty and don’t think I can do it anymore. The club derserve better than I can offer right now.

Jeff: I understand mate, we have been worried about the path we have been on. I would have given it more time......However, you know yourself and what you’re capable of right now. if you say it’s over you’re more than likely correct. Let’s part ways.

Hardly inconceivable surely?

I still haven’t took in fully the fact Nuno is going... very big shoes to fill for the next manager

I'm pretty sure I'll never see a better Wolves manager, we'll get a downgrade next for sure.

People ought to be careful what they wish for.
Now I am going to guess you’re a glass half empty guy?
I don’t think the decision would have been taken if Fosun were not looking at an upgrade on the pitch and in the dugout. Time will tell. Let’s give the big man a great send off Sunday with a win

That's not mutual consent. It's an amicably received resignation and isn't consistent with what is being put out there by the likes of Percy

That’s exactly how I imagined it. If it’s different then Jeff has a massive summer ahead to convince me his call is right. Massive.

The latter. It could all turn to shit real quick. The best scenario for me would be new manager comes in, sees a lot of good players, but needs to strengthen in defence and midfield. Which brings us back to this point....
