Nuno to leave Wolves

Kind of glad I won't be able to watch on Sunday, don't think I could cope with the images of Nuno at FT

I'm contemplating giving it a miss but also really don't want to. There will be tears...

I'm leaving as soon as the whistle goes. I've got to get home for Sydney anyway but I'll be leaving sharpish, I can't stay around and watch that.

Bet he'll want to do a speech as well. Imagine...

I’m watching on the box. Hope to hear the 4500 giving him the loving send off he deserves.

Several hours in and I'm still completely in bits quietly sat in the corner.

It really is a period of mourning.

It’s not beginning to feel any better. This is genuinely upsetting. I just can believe he is going. All the best for the future Nuno. Wherever you end up, bring that team to Molineux for a pre season friendly so we can say goodbye properly. We’d probably sell out for that opportunity. :(

I know usually when a manager goes it’s either long overdue and a lot of loyalty has gone.
This one is a manager who’s ticked of so many items off my bucket list. Getting us to go head to head with the best in the country.
Got us into Europe and deep into it to, my dream was to travel to Europe to watch wolves and I did last year.
He was a clip of heel from getting us to the cup final.
The fact that some are not happy with us being 12th in the PL is testament to the job he has done.
Gutted the last time I saw one of his sides play was 14 months ago, fuck this pandemic.

Interesting snippet from a Guardian article today.
"The decision to part company with Nuno was not a complete surprise, even if it was announced immediately after a press conference in which Nuno talked about Sunday’s fixture without hinting that it was to be his last in charge. At that point the players had not been informed but Nuno told them afterwards in what is understood to have been an emotional meeting."
The more i read the less i understand this decision. It almost seems like it was decided today, but obviously after things had gone on over a period.
I'm interested to hear what the players think about this. Losing the staff is one thing, losing key players would be another thing entirely.

Most of them are giving an outpouring of emotion on social media with "thank you mister". It isn't helping...

Only seen Podence on IG. Not seen any of the others...

Patricio is another. Otasowie too.

Notice that Guardian article follows a similar line to Percy's in that it was a Shi decision. So disappointing if so, and they had better get the next appointment right.

I'm not entirely convinced they will, but i really hope they do. The future of the club in the PL is at stake i think. With Nuno gone his whole backroom staff will be gone too. It'll be a clean sheet coaching staff wise..

My only other thought is someone has become available who we just can't turn down.

I'd go all out for Fonseca to be honest.

the owner in the end has to make the tough decisions even if not everybody likes it..but youre correct, they must get it right now

Of course, but with Nuno there was always an element of safety - he never would have relegated us, but I'm guessing if Shi has dismissed him it's on the basis that they have doubts as to whether Nuno could have taken us to the next level and evolved us.

exactly

Shi needs to get the next dcicision spot on - if it is him who started it (actually even if it wasn't still needs to get the replacement right0

Fosun appear to be quite ruthless so his employment is not guaranteed either.
