Nuno to leave Wolves

I respect Nuno's decision - it's been a hard year for everyone, but particularly when he's been seperated from his family.

Have to say that I became a bit 'emotional' after I read the news & made my first post as its been an incredible journey out of extreme mediocraty

Gutted. Absolutely gutted.

Nuno will forever have a special place in my heart. He gave me some unforgettable moments and was in charge for the last ever game I got to watch with my dad before he passed away (our 2-0 victory away at Man City) - I have a photo of my dad from before the FA Cup semi final holding up a Nuno “pure filth” scarf that Paddy gave to him in the pub before - it’s one of my favourite photos of all time.

A fantastic man who I wish nothing but the best for. Just gutted I won’t be there on Sunday to give him the standing ovation he deserves.

Genuinely gutted.

Fair play a lot of mangers would just keep going on until they’re sacked and have a nice pay day.

He didn't deserve to be sacked, which sounds ridiculous. This is absolutely the right way to bow out and it gives the new manager the summer to work with what we have, assess and add to it.

I only wish for him that he could have bowed out to a full stadium really.

Am told Nuno's decision is nothing to do with any other club. He feels he has come to the end of a cycle
@Wolves
and will now consider his options.
Thanks YW. It's a really sad day for everyone involved with the club. I just hope we can push on now that we have pretty much everything in place to do so, but........ it will involve a whole new set of staff, and maybe a player exodus IF Fosun don't get it right. Like I said in a previous post all the players bar Coady are Nuno's, and all the first team staff are Nuno's team.
I just went on IG and I can see the players are liking the posts, so I guess they knew already and have resigned themselves to the decision.

Its not even the dross its that Nuno had built the team and squad - the article on the Athletic today where he talked about the unique squad togetherness. All blown apart today.
Yeah, he was always more then just a football manager as far as I'm concerned ..always felt to me that the 'pack' ethos was more than just a gimmick

Thinking about glad he left on his own terms.
If we started poorly next season, the pressure would build, I would hate to have seen him getting the sack.

I really don’t like the “took the club as far as he can/considering his options” statements as that can really be open to interpretation.

Well this sucks. I still haven’t gotten over Jota leaving and now this!

It’s probably the best decision for him personally but I’m not sure how well it’ll work out for us. I don’t have a great deal of optimism that we will appoint somebody better but maybe Fosun will surprise me.

It’s a good job I haven’t got any red wine left otherwise I’d be wanting to spend the evening getting drunk and watching YouTube highlights of his first two seasons in the Prem.

Here’s to him getting the send off he deserves on Sunday.

Yep, the next managerial appointment will really show the direction we're going in.

Leaving by "Mutual Consent", usually means " i wont say fuck all if you dont". This is like breaking up in a long term love affair. It will take ages to get over it.

Whilst I’m naturally gutted as many people will be we also have to be realists
This is the nature of football and football managers.
Nuno has given me the greatest ride in 50 years and those memories will be with me forever, but someday we all knew his tenure would come to an end.
Taking the positives out of this, he’s leaving like a gentleman, he’s not been sacked or acrimoniously leaving us in the brown stuff.
Irrespective of this season where we have comfortably finished mid table with all the issues and challenges, his legacy is intact leaving us with and championship title, two seventh place finishes, and FA cup semifinal and Europa quarter final.
He’s restored our dignity and we can now look to the future with optimism
Sunday’s gonna be special and emotional and I’m honoured to be one of a very few people to see his last game and I’ll savour every moment🐺🐺
Wolves forever

That is the gutting thing. He deserved a full stadium singing his name for 90 mins.
