New - The things that really annoy you

No judgement! RATM are really the only "rap-metal" (not what I'd define it as, but hey ho) group that still takes up any space in the public consciousness for a reason.

Nobody's clamoring for a fucking Alien Ant Farm reunion.
Skindred. Been listening to them again today.

Spent 8 hours at A&E yesterday because I've had some heart problems recently.

All looks ok thankfully, but it properly showed me how stretched the NHS is. Everyone there was wonderful, helpful, put me at ease etc but they are evidently overworked and underpaid.

Makes me so angry that the Tories have decimated this service and that so many people can't be arsed to go and vote because 'they're all the same'. They're not, and if this current shower of cunts somehow stay in power, things that we all take for granted will be taken away from us.

Sorry, end of rant. I'm supposed to be staying calm.

Bloody hell mate, look after yourself.

Similar experience - my de facto Father in Law had three weeks in New Cross last month after a fall (happily he's back home now and steadily improving, he is 81 though so it takes time). The staff are absolutely magnificent but they're on a hiding to nothing.

My aunty in Lancashire is a retired nurse who came out of retirement to help with the Covid vaccination drive and enjoyed it so much, when the NHS offered her a contract in Blackburn hospital, she took it.

6 months later she has just resigned again as she said the same thing about the NHS, stretched to dangerous breaking point. She said in 40 years, she has never seen it so bad. Low standards, shortages of staff, equipment, food, and some questionable comments made by those who are supposed to be caring for sick people. She saw one nurse eating food off a plate that was being taken to an OAP who had just had an op.
She had enough, it wasnt worth the constant stress. Before she resigned, she wrote a letter to the NHS documenting all the failures she saw.

Rage against the machine are a poor man’s EMF, one good song each, and EMFs was way better.

Doing a Paul on this, throw the dodgy opinion in, and leave the discussion for a day or so.

Quirk is going to hunt you down and gut you like a fish...

I’m a serial killer, what do I care?

I still have the Alien Amt Farm album.

Anyone want to buy it?

Hope it all goes ok for you, rant away mate, it's good for you, in our weekly pub group we have at least one ranting session regarding the demise of the NHS.

Yeah take care Ian.

I haven't been to an A&E in years, but 8 hours is scandalous.

I recently had to take my mum to a walk-in Urgent Treatment Centre that deals with minor injury/illness when she got a bad chest infection. I was there just over an hour on a bank holiday Monday which I thought was pretty good.

Hope all’s good mate. My dad took his partner to A&E a couple of weeks ago due to an allergic reaction. They got there at 16:30 and got home at 03:50 the morning after. It’s ludicrous. They need help and funding not dismantling.

More than one million people have signed a petition to hold the Met Police "criminally accountable" for shooting two dogs.

The two animals, which belonged to Louie Turnbull, 46, were killed by specialist firearms officers on 7 May.

They were responding to a report of a woman and her dog being attacked by another dog in Poplar, east London.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has launched an independent investigation into the incident.

The petition called the killing of the dogs an "unacceptable abuse of power".

where the absolute fuck are all these people when the police are shooting dead human beings with minimal/no/falsified evidence?

To be fair the Menezes incident was 17 years ago and there was quite the fucking hullabaloo about it.
