His handling of the Twitter takeover is a disgrace. My Brother in-law was working there since May and actually survived the recent cull where Musk fired 50% of the work-force.
On Wednesday, Musk emailed everyone with a link to click to confirm if they would agree to his new rules:

• Click the link if you want to be extremely hardcore and commit to working longer hours in a bid to make Twitter 2.0 better
• Don't click and be removed from the company books with 3 months severance pay

They were given til 4pm yesterday to decide. Apparently, Musk's email was so strange and dodgy looking that the legal team replied to everyone to say it wasnt a phishing test email or a scam. Anyone who didnt click the link was supposed to have access removed to internal tools and offices this morning. Thing is, ~75% of the workforce decided to resign yesterday. My BiL resigned even though he didnt want to as his boss, his bosses boss and the majority of his team all quit. The uncertainty of what Musk will demand next was causing too much anxiety. Twitter offices are closed today and no-one knows what is happening for those who stayed on.
My BiL was saying he still has access today because the team who were supposed to remove it have all quit. His main concern is whether he will receive the severance payment as their payroll team has also seen large scale resignations.

Talk about how you don't run a business. In the last two weeks since Musk took over - he emailed all staff and told them they had to return to working from the office immediately unless granted an exception by him. He then backtracked on that. He then pushed sales teams to promote the Blue Tick subscriptions and Twitter Official which was quickly scrapped.
The dont have enough engineers and content moderators to keep the platform going and some are saying Twitter may actually go offline this weekend.
An unbelievably bad way to take over a business. I thought Musk was strange but I didnt realise he was a total sociopath.

The fact that he is memeing and laughing about it while he plunges hundreds, if not thousands into un-employment just before Christmas in an uncertain economy says it all.
He couldnt give a shit about his staff. This stuff flies in the US but it won't here, we have legislation against what he is doing.
The amount of court cases that will arise from this will be staggering.

They are. You cant essentially force people to resign. There was no risk of redundancy, so no need to give staff vague ultimatums. Staff who resigned havent event tendered any official resignation - they are some weird limbo of presumed un-employment.
I wouldnt be surprised to hear Musk invite them all back to work on Monday and say he was only joking, he's lost his mind.

No idea if I am honest about the size. Only had 2 punctures in 7 years tbh, so it isn't usually an issue. I don't carry a spare & kit to change as I already have a full bag (laptop, lock & lunch) plus it's only 3.5 miles.
