Man City 0 - 2 Wolves: The Verdict Thread

Why has my name been brought into this? I would be grateful if that stops as I don’t particularly like the aspersions being cast.

Correct Kenny, maybe a swift cypro a day helps the old sense of humour, will have two tommorrow.
It's definately ALKI by the way, it's written on the cypro bottle, i think.

aha, that's your version of in depth analysis? i will have a cypro later on your behalf. and it is the bastard crime of the century because after so many highly knowldgable people put him right, fuck foot is still at it, if going mental must end in your opinion then................

Fuck foot was actually praising Traore's composure.

Fuck foot also acknowledged twice that other posters on here are much more knowledgeable than he is; he reads these threads for the insight they have.

Fuck foot is entitled to an opinion even if he cannot back it up with specific examples, and since that opinion is based on Fuck foots experiences as a STH who has seen Bully play many times (though not as many as others have), he will continue to hold that opinion however much the more knowledgeable posters disagree, or however much he is called 'fuck foot' or told he is talking 'shite'.

To be fair he was just saying that you swear far too much (which you do, consider this a ticking off for poor language :) )

Only a little bit. I am becoming less sweary every day at the moment.

Honest.

The way I feel lately saying bollocks would be mild.

So down I can barely be bothered to use profanity. It’s the end of days.

Back on topic. I noticed Doc in the last couple go games has developed a semi long throw. Perhaps more sign that we won't see Bennett much.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Must be a weekly long throw competition at the training ground.

He's done it before. We scored at Charlton off one under Saunders.

In his inimitable way he bragged about the superb work we'd done on the training ground to bring about that goal (however we lost and looked increasingly doomed to relegation, he missed that bit out)

Suggests more to me that the long throw is a deliberate Nuno tactic - paddy is unlikely to be pleased! It seems he is looking for more players to have the ability to throw the ball long. Similar to how he appears to be wanting players other than Neves & Coady to be able to pass the ball well.

It's just an easy way to create a goalscoring opportunity. No-one seemed to mind when John de Wolf did it.

There's a big difference between us doing it 2-3 times a game at most and Stoke actively playing for throw ins as they used to under Pulis.

We've scored a massive one goal off them so far. I'd rather we just worked it into a decent crossing position or just retained possession.

Two goals, Raul scored at Everton off one.

Corners have a really low efficiency rate too, I doubt anyone's suggesting we just kick it out of play and not bother.

Say what you want about pulis and stoke, but something like half their goals at the time came from a rory delap throw in, often not directly but after a scrap in the box. They scored almost nothing from corners. Its a super effective tactic when you are short on quality but have large plonkers who can scrap and battle for the ball

I think they only ever scored from about 5/6 throw ins didn’t they?
