Loan Watch 2018-2019

From the weekend:

Kortney Hause - Aston Villa, The Champioship.

Another full game in a 2-1 win against Blackburn to help consolidate Villa’s place in the play-off positions.

Bright Enobakhare - Coventry City, League One

A full game away at Barnsley and helped his team draw level in the second half, beating a man and putting it on a plate for a team-mate to score.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell – Rochdale, League One.

Another full game, this time in a 1-1 draw at Gillingham. Picked up a booking.

Donovan Wilson – Exeter City, League Two.

Handed a start at home to Mansfield after his fine assist last game and notched another one early on, playing in his strike partner to get their team level. Faded as the game went on and was subbed with 12 to go in what was an eventual 4-1 defeat.

Ben Goodliffe – Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.

A full game in a 3-0 defeat at Chesterfield.

Harry Burgoyne – Falkirk, Scottish Championship.

Kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw at Inverness.

Christian Herc and Connor Ronan - FC DAC 1904, Slovakian Superliga.

Controversy for Herc who got sent off for two bookable offences. Ronan stayed on for the full 90 but couldn’t do much to prevent a 3-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Slovan Bratislava.

Rafa Mir – Las Palmas, Spanish Segunda División

A full game but no goal in a 1-0 defeat at home to Elche.

Aaron Hayden – Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Premier South

A full game and praised for good defending in a 1-1 draw with St Ives.

Phil Ofosu-Ayeh – Wurzburger Kickers, 3.Bundesliga.

Made his first start in a long time, playing 51 minutes of a 3-2 win.

FC Jumilla, Spanish Third Tier

Leak, Hanne, and Yang all started and played the full game in a 1-0 defeat. Hanne went close with a fine effort while Leak was booked. Seedorf came on for the last 20 minutes.

Jack Ruddy – UD Sanse, Spanish Third Tier

Played in a 1-0 home defeat.

Subbed on: Jordan Graham (65 minutes), Michal Zyro (70 minutes), Benny Ashley-Seal (86 minutes).

Unused subs: Miranda, Deslandes.

Not in squad: Bonatini, Johnson, Csoka.

To be fair, Graham has seen Afobes "how not to speak about your parent club 101" up close and personal.

Bonatini not in the forest squad again.

Turns out he is a bit shit after all

Bonatini not in the forest squad again.

Turns out he is a bit shit after all

Turns out Forest have more loan players than they can play (like we did last season) and when he does play Leo he plays him out wide. Which is pointless

From the weekend:

Kortney Hause - Aston Villa, The Champioship.

Started at Sheffield Wednesday and didn’t have the best of days – getting caught high up the pitch for Wednesday’s opener then going off with an injury just before the hour mark.

Bright Enobakhare - Coventry City, League One

A full game in a goalless draw at home to Bristol Rovers. Showed some trickery early on to fashion a chance that he couldn’t quite convert but didn’t do much else.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell – Rochdale, League One.

Played the full game at home to Sunderland and was involved in his team’s opener. Sunderland came back to win 2-1, however.

Harry Burgoyne – Falkirk, Scottish Championship.

A full game in a 3-1 defeat.

Connor Ronan - FC DAC 1904, Slovakian Superliga.

Seems to have become a fixture in the team and got the winning goal for his team in an impressive display.

Rafa Mir – Las Palmas, Spanish Segunda División

Came on after an hour with his team a goal down. Into stoppage time, all was looking lost until he desperately punts a shot at goal from 25 yards. There was no power on the shot but the slippery conditions helped it squirm through the keeper’s legs.

Worth a watch here on 1:07:

Michal Zyro – Pogon Szczecin, Polish Premier League.

Made a very rare start and scored an even rarer goal to open the scoring. Subbed in the second half.

Aaron Hayden – Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Premier.

A full game in a 0-0 draw.

FC Jumilla - Spanish Third Tier - Leak and Yang started and played the full game of a 1-1 draw, both getting booked in the process.

Jack Ruddy – UD Sanse, Spanish Third Tier.

Kept his place in the side for a 3-1 away defeat.

Subbed on: Donovan Wilson (57 minutes, had two shots but to no avail), Hanne (66 mins)

Unused subs: Graham, Ruddy, Seedorf, Deslandes.

Not in squad: Bonatini, Johnson, Goodliffe, Miranda, Herc (suspended), Csoka, Ofosu-Ayeh

Something about that reminds me of vintage Cav. Couple of times he pops a simple little pass into someone and goes for the one two, rather than trying to beat the player, which is great to see.

Bright scored again yesterday. I’ve torn him apart in the past but looks like some regular football has worked wonders for him. Might be worth having a look at him in the #10 role in preseason and send MGW the other way if we are looking to change our 3-5-2 into a more attacking 3-4-1-2.

Bright is a very talented player. I think he could be a very good Championship player (I think he proved that last season before his injury). But we have moved on too quickly for him in my opinion.

We won't loan MGW out and certainly not to L1.

Bright is not going to make an impact here, although our formation switch would *potentially* give him a route back in against defensive opponents whereas in a 3-4-3 he had no real spot. However he just isn't good enough and never will be.

Don’t know if I’m missing something but Coventry didnt play yesterday?
