Liverpool 2-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I’d say GNev is far more objective than Carragher, it’s just really patronising coverage from Sky. Yep Liverpool are the bigger team and will get talked about more but stop treating non super 6 teams like they’re a micro state nation playing England at Wembley.
Just seems like the attitude is “your on tv against Liverpool, so be happy you great beggars”

I like Carragher and Neville as pundits but the former definitely shouldn't be commentating on Liverpool games.

I don't find Neville too bad on Utd games - he's able to give decent analysis on both sides. Carragher struggles with this if Liverpool are playing.

I always like Dave Edwards desperately trying not to be biased when he does our games :D

He's a much better co-commentator than he was a footballer.

Could really do without a long spell, or frankly any time, out for Agba. Going into this next batch of games with Bueno as our commanding CB is a grim prospect.

Missed the first half as I was out at my lads match, but on what I saw it’s a disappointment to leave with nothing. They’ve looked sketchy for a while and i genuinely thought we’d be close enough to them. So frustrating we elected to bin the first half of this season because despite being evidently better than our position we’re in the muck and bullets and need results from tougher games. That certainly includes next Saturday.

Put it this way he’d have told us the second penalty was a fair call if VAR hadn’t intervened. Put it this way I wouldn’t want to commentate on Wolves match as I know full well I’d be bias.

Was a bit surprised and disappointed that Bueno replaced Agba rather than Djiga, as it turned out it didn't affect the result but a bit concerned that Bueno is seen as better than our new guy.

Wasn’t at all bothered he didn’t play last week and didn’t read anything into it then as he’d had almost no training with the team. Different this week as the hope was he’d drop in like Agba. Shame, but given he was a replacement for Danso not a great surprise.

I feel like 352 with Gomes, Andre and bellegarde in midfield with Cunha playing off JSL might be the way to go. It might require R Gomes at RWB over semedo to really make it work though

Marshall can start with Cunha both operating as No.10s behind JSL.

It might work, it might not. Probably worth a try though.
It’s not a starting lineup for me. Wins on culture, but we can’t approach every game like it’s the last ten minutes of a cup match. He needs to get a tune out of his starting XI however much I might agree with everyone’s completely correct dismay with their ‘effort’ today.

When you bring Tommy Doyle on to play wide right then you know the formation isn't going to change

I wouldn’t say that. Coming on mid way through a game for your debut, at centre half, at anfield is a pretty big task.

Can happen a lot new player comes over take time to bed them in. Not in all cases, but some.

If agba is out for any period I wouldn’t be suprised to see him come in

Controversy time. I realise I'm setting myself up for a load of hate but I think Doc at CB has been fine, occasional fuck up but overall pretty good. There's definitely worse CBs in the league than him. His best set of performances since his first couple of years under Nuno at RWB.
There I've said it.
Obviously he'll now be absolute shite for the next 5 games (if selected)
