Well, one turkey doesn't make a Christmas and all that, but you couldn't ask for a better start for the new manager. Helped by the fact that Leicester's CBs and GK combo is somehow worse than even ours.

We looked more solid throughout the game. Didn't give up any big easy chances and defended corners ok. Still moved the ball around well at times and could have scored at least one more.

Tough run coming up so let's see what Vito can do with a bit more training under their belts. Onwards and hopefully upwards. We at least have a better chance of staying up thanks to this result now as we're not adrift.

Organised throughout the team and especially at the back. Never really looked troubled and saw the game out quite comfortably... More of that please

Had to win, and did.

Didn’t expect Leicester to be quite that bad but have to take it. Couple of games now where we need to be difficult to play against and try to build some momentum. Get to January in some kind of solid shape

And a clean sheet.
Sa took command of his area, andre was everywhere and heading like a pro.
Guedes was fucked 2nd half, santi had a decent game, Semedo was excellent, doc not bad, cunha a bit sloppy, as was jaoa.
Good to see Strand roughing the leics back four up, and sooooo good to see players talking to, and bollocking each other.

Of course I wished Vitor the best and hoped we'd get a win today (or at very least, not lose, because I think that would have been us done) but I didn't see that coming at all. What a damning indictment on Gary O'Neil and his no tactics. Turns out you can get players to stand in the right place if you ask them to.

We actually used Joao Gomes and André as we should have done all along and guess what, turns out Brazilian international midfielders are alright if you use them properly. Just generally a lack of chaos and even as limited as three quarters of that starting defence is - there wasn't the sense of perpetual panic that there has been for nearly an entire year.

Didn't think Guedes had that kind of first half performance in him. Credit where it's due, I might hate him and he might be a monument to Fosun's post-2020 folly, but he was excellent.

Leicester were dreadful all over the park and their fans need to have a fucking word with themselves. Danny Ward might be crap but he's your keeper in an ongoing crucial game. Maybe save your criticism for the pub or the Internet afterwards, support your fucking players while they're out there. That's your job. Knobheads.

We're back in the fight. We don't look a lost cause. All you can ask really, now let's build on it as Man Utd are evidently still crap and Tottenham can do Tottenham things whenever. And enjoy your Sunday night, I certainly will.

An important victory against an utterly diabolical Leicester. Took our first half chances and then killed the game. Understand that this is the way it has to be but I wasn't happy with two pieces of play in particular. One minute before half time, Semedo takes an uttery casual throw in that they win and put us under pressure. Had we conceded then, then who knows how it turns out. Then two mins into teh second half, we have another throw in and get that wrong so the ref gives Leicester a foul throw. While this may seem small in the whole scheme of things, it is details like this that make a huge difference.

Delighted for Gomes to get his first goal, not so happy with the other Gomes missing a simple header to make it 4-0. Defensively we had a better shape but Leicester had no game plan other than trying to find Vardy and his runs. We still struggled at times and Toti twice tried to give them a goal. Such a liability.

Now then, to the huge positive. Guedes. Absolutely superb first half. His touch, his runs and his ability to create something from nothing. Faded second half but the game was won and it was his performance that made a huge difference.

So a good start under new management but oh so much to work on and improve.

Won't get carried away but this is really good and maybe we are actually in for a battle to stay up rather than a whimper. Difference between a coach and a PE teacher based off today. Hopefully it continues.

Guedes is only used to playing 20 minutes tops 😁

Well said. Certainly will celebrate tonight but in a limited fashion as my wife is an avid Leicester fan!
