Leeds 0 Wolves 3 - verdict thread

Massive credit to Nuno for last night. Every time we lose we bounce back with a dominant performance and a big win. Bottle.

Watching the game on Sky at the moment and if Bonatini scores that dink it goes into the team goals of the season category. It started with Coady on the edge of his six yard box under pressure calmly spreading play to Douglas and 6 touches 10 seconds later the goalkeeper is saving it. I'd really recommend watching the whole move again.

Also the skill by Boly around 25 minutes when under pressure by Dallas and just leaves him flat on his arse is hilarious.

God I love these lads.

I've just spent quite a while reading through all the replies and he's been absolutely rinsed by his own fans!
Particular favs...
"You make Peter Risdale look competent",
"Have a drink when you get home, tweet some more, see if you cam embarrass us a wee bit more" and
"Shut the fuck up you massive crank"! :icon_lol:

To be fair I think it was most eloquently summarised in "Fuck off you useless Italian cunt" :)

Last night was a really classy display by us. Difficult to argue anyone scored less than a 7 to be fair. Have to say I thought Baath played well, Boly was absolutley brilliant, ALF had the best game I've seen him play for us (that long ball too - more to his game!), both wing backs, but my MOTM has to be Cav. He was everywhere, worked really hard, repeatedly won the ball back, showed some class touches, and did everything except score imo.

Really glad to have a clean sheet too. Massive rebuild of confidence for the weekend.

Neves has to come back in for me. It is a nonsense for anyone to suggest he shouldn't start. He's far and away the best player in the division, and can control games. Alf can have a rest, and maybe we can rest Saiss in the Reading game. When is the yellow card amnesty, as Saiss might make it?

Chuffed with the result and performance, some great passages of play and plenty of work rate.
Boly M.o.M for me.
Only downer was wasted chances in first half. Thankfully we created that many it didn't matter!

This may sound daft, but for me the most impressive thing about Wolves yesterday was the pre-game warm up. Intense, focused, flat out, supervised by Nuno at times. Like the team and the management knew they HAD to get back on track. Meanwhile Leeds played a bit of 5-a-side and the owner went on Twitter...

The warm ups, and numerous other coaching changes are certainly paying dividends. See how we (as a team) warm up together at the start of the 2nd half too.

It's my wife I feel sorry for. I'm not sure how much longer I can hide from her my true feelings for Nuno.

not daft at all. i remember first time i thought the same was when we finally got promoted in 2003. unfortunately it was us doing the 5-a-side and Charlton with the impressive warm up. i think they were 4-0 up after half an hour.

Doherty still left a man for Batth/Saiss to deal with a few times, he hasn't got a clue how to mark/track a man back when needed

#scapegoat

He was loads better overall though. Douglas too on the other side.

I think my MOTM would be Boly as well as a lot on here have said.

Loved how we could hear the fans singing "shit on the Villa" quite clearly and loudly for a bit :D. Bring it on.

Favourite song from last night was:

Fucked on the telly
You're getting fucked on the telly
Fucked on the telly
You're getting fucked on the telly...

Got to say I enjoyed 'get your scarves out for the lads'

Never seen a home end look so glum while we were singing that, absolutely no response at all.

I am so totally impressed with Nuno, I worry about keeping him next season more than any of the players. The way he speaks is so measured, he should be prime minister, and I for one would make him a freeman of Wolverhampton tomorrow!

From Marching on together Leeds fan site:
Clapping emojis then
"To all the Wolves fans & those connected with your club

What a team, the best I have seen in the championship by a country mile since we were relegated from the prem

Big, strong, athletic, skillful, plenty of vision from No.1 to 11 & on their bench too. Wolves looked like they had 13 players on the pitch as they passed & spread the ball from the back to the flanks & attacked our box in numbers with considerable ease. Even their defenders knew where everyone of their colleagues were positioned when on the ball.....Brilliant !!!

Wolves will go on to be a top ten premiership club next season. The difference between Wolves & Leeds is a million miles apart"

Think Reading being postponed really worked in our favour - a bad run, some bull from rivals - the frustration must have built up, and was unleashed last night.

They couldn't see the irony in singing "your support is embarrassing" and "couldn't sell your tickets" last night.
