Leeds 0 Wolves 3 - verdict thread

Well that was rather good, only complaint was our wastefulness from good positions - Jota’s sitter and general hesitance when in good positions from Leo - but overall that was great and loved Afobe’s goal.

Let’s go and do the same to Villa!

The world is a better place again! Shit on Villa, stuff Reading and Burton and then it’s done.

Nuno is anti-Trump and so am I :) Deano, read and learn

Leo may be struggling in front of goal, but I thought he dropped deep and linked play really well tonight. Particularly the first half.

He was part of our good play so it’s hard to know whether that was because of him or in spite of him. As every time he got near the box his touch, decision making and finishing was woeful

Excellent all over the park. Boly MOTM for me, Leeds couldn't get past him. Honourable mentions for Doherty and N'Diaye too who I thought were excellent.

Leo's confidence in front of goal is shot but he still played okay overall. Link up stuff was good. The difference between his build up and Afobe's was noticable I thought, though the goal showed what Afobe can bring too. Fantastic options.
Jota I actually thought wasn't fantastic. Missed another sitter and wasted a few other chances with poor passes/decisions.

Overall though, deserved to win by more. Neves into the midfield (not sure who for, mind) and let's go beat Villa.

It has to be back to Neves/Saiss for me. Alf has done a great job tonight but that partnership in CM is one of the reasons we have been so good this season.

Nuno might go for Alf's extra physicality, which is fair enough in a local derby, but ultimately Neves/Saiss has been and is still our best pairing.

It amuses me how Heckinbotham describes our third as a "long ball down the middle"! It was hardly a CB hoof. It was an over the top through ball from just inside our own half.

My head hurts this morning. But what a great night at Elland Road.

I thought Leo was a bit unlucky, denied by an excellent save ( he tried a dink? but the keeper sticks up an arm?> perhaps thats the camera angle) Afobe showed pace and precision for his goal but needs to show that every game he plays now. Jota was wasteful, but you get the feeling he is going to bang a hat trick in soon. Batth was solid but a couple of hairy penalty shouts. Did anyone else see the irony of his first game for a while being against the team rumoured to be offering 6m for his services? Doherty was excellent . Front to back. Boly immense, he surely has earnt longer here. And after his recent nerves I thought Ruddy was calm and assured with what he had to do and gave confidence to his back line. Great three points and off to Villa at the weekend knowing that whatever we are top of the league with everything in our own hands.

See Keith Wyness has nailed his colours to the mast by liking the Leeds owners tweet.

Afobe nods it back to Jota. Jota plays a lovely ball over the top. Afobe gives the defenders three yards start and breezes past them. Heckinbot has got far bigger things to worry about than a "long ball over the top"

Even the weather dislikes leeds this morning

Fuck off.

I've just spent quite a while reading through all the replies and he's been absolutely rinsed by his own fans!
Particular favs...
"You make Peter Risdale look competent",
"Have a drink when you get home, tweet some more, see if you cam embarrass us a wee bit more" and
"Shut the fuck up you massive crank"! :icon_lol:

As for the game? Massive performance, 18th? clean sheet of the season, could have scored double what we did and back to our best. Thanks for the team talk Leeds and Derby. Villa, you're next!
