Ten games left, to be on 40 points is great (though it perhaps should be even more) - but what will we end up on?

Cardiff Home - W
Chelsea Away - L
Arsenal Home (No date set yet) - W
Burnley Away - D
Man United Home - L
Southampton Away - D
Brighton Home - W
Watford Away - L
Fulham Home - W
Liverpool Away - L

14 points to take us to 54. That would be the most for a promoted team since Reading in 2007.

That is contradicting your signature SW!

I think we'll get 55 points. I suspect we'll win games we expect to lose, and lose games we expect to win. My form in the prediction league has told me how useless I am at predicting the outcome of football matches :icon_lol:

What I will say, is this season has been phenomenal.

15 points though Watford away & Arsenal Home might well be slightly optimistic predictions. Lose both those instead it's still 13 points.

14, for a final total of 54.

Of course, this isn't counting us smashing it in the Cup.

There is a common PL trait we need to avoid if we are going to get North of 50 points. One is the relaxing because we aren't going down, the other is teams looking to stay up having more hunger. Avoid both of those and I think we'll get 52.

You'd have thought a place in Europe would be something to play for. Didn't seem that way on Tuesday, though.

I edited to say looking to stay up rather than something to play for. Just need to ensure we don't fall into the Albion under Pulis trap. I don't think we will.

You are only predicting 3 points less than me, but I can't see us going 9 games without a win.

Just the way I see it, we’re in a cosy position yes we want to come 7th but it’s not a huge problem if we don’t. We’re playing sides who are in a far more depereate need for points ie CL qualification or relegation.

A lot depends on the cup. That is definitely going to determine selection in later games if we do get further.
