Keir Starmer at it again..

Not really, its easy enough to have radical plans when there is no chance of them being implemented.
Fair, but they're not "radical" in the true sense of the word, just more radical than Labour.

I'm not even sure where you would start to cost free personal care - nor get the people required.

All party leaders have signed up to be interviewed by Nick Robinson (Andrew Neil used to do them) on the BBC except Keir Starmer.

He has been invited to do one and I'll be disappointed if he ducks out like Johnson did before the last election. I'd say being interviewed by Robinson is less liable for any potential huge mishaps than the 1 on 1 debates with Sunak.

Isn't Robinson famously Tory?

Yes but I'd hope that he can manage that in a half hour interview.
It shouldn't have the jeopardy of being sympathetic to organisations linked with paramilitary activities or being a lying, lazy, feckless oaf who has left a trail of destruction in most personal relations/employments in his lifetime.

And you don't leave it in the hands of private business to provide the solution.
And that would really require a root and branch overhaul of the whole system.

We have a personal budget for our son, some of it for health and some for social care. We manage that budget...we have to pay for a payroll provider (we could do it ourselves but it would be more time out of our already sparse life)

We are fortunate that we have a small and dedicated team of social care workers who we directly employ and use a specialised NHS service to complement this.

When my son becomes an adult, it will primarily be private sector organisations that provide what will he a much more limited service.

Simply ignoring it because it is difficult should not be an option.

Might be that prematurely grumpy men are not their target audience? Not my thing but it’s harmless enough.
