I’m sure no-one would defend this Frank. I would really hope no one on here would engage in ‘Whataboutery’ over child abuse either.

It looks like a god awful mess in Bury, I hope they do get a fully independent enquiry and criminal charges if they are warranted.

I think what bothered me most after the clear breaking of the law was the fact it was done for political gain. That is a new level of wrong.

I don’t it’s *that* new tbh. There’s loads of examples of crimes covered up for political gain - including child abuse.

I think if you are looking at the 70's and earlier young boys being brought to parties was prevalent. I think there is a distinction though between the abuse that happened in those circumstances which clearly was abhorrent and someone knowing putting kids at risk for his own political gain, although equally appalling

Child abuse doesn't respect the colour of the politician's tie. Equally, all persons and parties should be attacking child abuse in all forms.

Agreed, and I would never suggest that people on here were in favour of such things. My point was that Labour supporters criticise everything the Government does, even blaming them for putting up car insurance...

Yet there is very rarely any criticism of the Labour party, even on occasions when they deserved to be criticised.

Car insurance has gone up because of insurance premium tax being raised - by the government, who I’m pretty sure claim to be tories..

To be fair, I think that post on insurance came from what someone was told by the insurance company on the phone.

I may have read that wrong but that is how it came across to me.
