I've only just seen this. Yep, that's exactly what I meant. I was just relaying information I was told over the phone for why my insurance had gone up by £130 despite no accidents and so forth. Car tax has gone up too.

Nonetheless: I don't like the Tories. Period. Car insurance rise or no rise!
 
Sarah Champion, the former shadow equalities minister has hit out at the left wing of her party by saying that the floppy left is afraid of speaking out against grooming for fear of bring branded racist.

This follows on from her removal from her position by Momentum because she did speak out about grooming, though she could have worded things better than she did.

1. I can't speak for the 'floppy left' but I'd be surprised if they have an issue with condemning sexual abuse of children.
2. She wasn't removed by Momentum she was fired by Corbyn.
3. She was fired for the statement: “Britain has a problem with British Pakistani men raping and exploiting white girls.” Corbyn sacked her as he felt that whole communities don't commit child abuse and that is was unfair to label British Pakistani men in this way.

I'm inclined to agree with Corbyn on this because:

80% of child abuse is carried out by one of the parents.
A report for the children's commissioner in 2012 found there were 1,514 perpetrators of child sexual abuse. 545 - white, 415 - Asian and 244 were black. Only 35 of the 415 Asians are recorded as having Pakistani heritage.

Asian men are over represented based on % of the population but it doesn't help to stigmatize communities and people in positions of power and authority need to be very careful with the language they use when they talk about such an emotive subject.

I don't disagree with you apart from the bit about Corbyn firing her. Corbyn is only a puppet to his puppet masters in Momentum.
 
If there's one thing Corbyn definitely is its that he is his own man.

MP Jared O'Mara has eventually been suspended by Labour while it investigates misogynistic and homophobic comments he is alleged to have made.

Are those the comments between 2002 and 2004 or the recent ones he's categorically denied? He has also been accused of calling a constituent an "ugly bitch" too.

Apparently he's always wanted to be an MP but he can no complaints if he gets the sack. The NEC is getting criticised too for not doing a thorough enough check on him.
 
The Labour Party has suspended MP Kelvin Hopkins after a party activist claimed he had sexually harassed her. The lady concerned said she had first complained about the incident two years ago.

Quite a few in both major parties could be due a suspension.
 
I think it's time to set aside any political differences and all agree that there's a fair few abhorrent creatures in politics.
