1. I can't speak for the 'floppy left' but I'd be surprised if they have an issue with condemning sexual abuse of children.
2. She wasn't removed by Momentum she was fired by Corbyn.
3. She was fired for the statement: “Britain has a problem with British Pakistani men raping and exploiting white girls.” Corbyn sacked her as he felt that whole communities don't commit child abuse and that is was unfair to label British Pakistani men in this way.
I'm inclined to agree with Corbyn on this because:
80% of child abuse is carried out by one of the parents.
A report for the children's commissioner in 2012 found there were 1,514 perpetrators of child sexual abuse. 545 - white, 415 - Asian and 244 were black. Only 35 of the 415 Asians are recorded as having Pakistani heritage.
Asian men are over represented based on % of the population but it doesn't help to stigmatize communities and people in positions of power and authority need to be very careful with the language they use when they talk about such an emotive subject.
