January 2020 transfer window

Yeah they got him for free, if he gets transferred he gets 10% of the money. Honestly, I watch him very often here and for me 6.5mil is very fair. I wouldn't give 30mil for Podence though...

Nor me. Keep Jimenez on for the full 90+5 and hope he gets a goal, which he invariably does if hes knackered or not, or send someone on who isn't fit to lace his boots. Silly money for somebody who would hardly ever get used.

Oliveira is a new Instagram follower of Wolves, Patricio and Neves, for whatever that's worth.

£6.5m is the new £500k. Trying to make sense of what players cost these days is impossible. Clubs seem happy to class anything under £20m as a decent gamble and nowt to worry about if they fail

Nuno has a good reputation in taking players and improving them.

Hopefully he can do the same with oliveira

Silly money? It's absolutely nothing. Teams at our level think nothing of spending that on players they barely want.

Still West Ham's player until 2022 :icon_lol:

Oliveira makes sense in terms of ability/position/suitability for the way Nuno plays but I too didn't think he'd settled well in this country before he moved to Greece.

An odd one.

It's more injury cover, or if (god forbid) we are few a goals ahead in a game we could give RJ a rest.

I'd be fairly happy with this, he is better than BAS and i'd imagine he'd actually settle in well.

Settle in well? Did you see the interview that Deutsch posted. He doesn't like life in England.

If he comes he'll get my support, even if he mis-controls a few!

Obviously a strong Portuguese influence in the squad may help him to settle.

Skysports bottom of the screen yellow ribbon showing 'Breaking News - Wolves in talks with Olympiakos over deal for winger Daniel Podence & close to deal for Ecuadorian striker Leonardo Campana'

Yes I read the interview, i also apply the rationale that he was playing for Reading and Norwich in the Champ with presumably no Portuguese speaking team mates. The interview was also upon him leaving for his new club.

Wolves are in the Prem and must have around 20 staff and players that speak Portuguese, it's an entirely different proposition.

Time will tell.

Norwich had Ivo Pinto at the same time I think. Not to say they actually got on though, if I moved to Latvia and Danny Mills was my only English companion I doubt it'd help.

Reading had a Portuguese manager last season.

Olivera was good in the Norwich home game in champ (2-2 at the end I think?). Long while ago though.

Was that when he scored with a speculative drive from about 40 yards out? IIRC that was then a few posters on here wanted Ruddy replaced with England's Will Norris.

Yes. Was crap keeping tbf.

Sky saying Podence will be £21.5m and Campana would go straight into U23s.
