January 2020 transfer window

Episode 1: A lovable old-fashioned odd couple style sitcom
Episodes 2-6: A murder enquiry

Steve Bruce writing the scripts?

Not to deflect from some actual transfer links that seem to be true...apologies to all

Sky saying Podence will be £21.5m and Campana would go straight into U23s.

Sounds about right. Campana might get a Neto-style fast track to the first team, but he'll be put through his paces there first.

Campana is very much going to be treated like Vinagre. U23's to settle in was the set up for Rubes but he then went and impressed so much in his first couple of training sessions they just put him in the 1st team as a back up. Would presume Campana will need a little longer to settle in to the Country and hope some family move over with him. In my view, it would be a bonus to see him this season but hope he has impressed enough to be an option from next season.

For someone to warm the bench and hopefully snatch a couple up front, I wouldn't mind him in the abstract for that price.

My concern is impact on the dressing room rather than cost.
If he is a bad influence as some people say he is then I would think that Nuno wouldn't have him at Wolves.

Campana is away at an international tournament for the next few weeks isn't he? Doubt we'll see much of him.

Pleased that it looks like signings are happening. Oliveira is a bit meh but he'll do as cover until the summer I suppose. I don't think he'll be here all that long if we do sign him.

.

yeah he pops off back to Ecuador once his deal is completed. Presume he will be with us during our Prem League break

No real idea of how it works. But they play 5 group games, no clue how many progress or if its just top of the table then qualify for the Olympics.

They have played 1 so far and lost 3-0

Tim Vickery reckons Campana is nowhere near ready for the Premier League, usually knows his stuff on South American players doesn't he?

Just checked.

Top 2 qualify for the next stage and then play 3 more games, so no offence to the Ecuador but I hope you get knocked in the 1st stage...

Where has the bad influence talk come from?

I think a lot of it comes from him having what seemed a very public spat with the Norwich manager. Remember he scored a goal early in the season and ran over to angrily celebrate in front of him

Vickery is shit hot on South American footballers. I don't think we are signing him for now anyway.

He's often quite Anti-Wolves (or anti-Mendes), wonder if that influences his view?

I’d have taken Oliviera in the championship and certainly would have taken him as backup instead of Bonatini when we got promoted.

He’s an able player who has decent touch and can finish. Shame he thinks he’s a world beater and shoots from 40 yards all the time. For the Money it’s not really an issue and we may get more out of him. But he’s barely gonna play so not a real issue and at least if we need him he’s going to be better than BAS.

Sky reckon that the first payment for Campana will be about £300,000
