January 2020 transfer window

Would this be worth trying to get in on?

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...ust-pay-least-5m-psg-defender-layvin-kurzawa/

A lot of people would like an extra option to cover Doherty at wingback, not direct competition but could move Jonny across to the right if/when required and provide 4 options for the two wingback spots. Thought he looked a very good player for Monaco at the time when everyone was going mental for Bakayoko, Fabinho and Martial but not really seen anything of him since moving to PSG so perhaps it's all gone wrong there seen as he doesn't seem to feature all that regularly. Just seemed a very competitive price for someone I recall being a very competent fullback.

I thought that fee seemed very low. Arsenal fans on footballforums.net seem less than enamoured at the prospective signing. No idea why. Maybe he has regressed at PSG?

I'd still be happy for Wolves to take a punt at that price.

Wages could be an issue I suppose, moving from tax free Monaco to cash rich main rivals PSG you'd think he's going to be on a fair old wedge.

I’ve seen some tweets floating around that Danny Rose was in the BW this evening.

Probably BS.

Probably someone that looks like him. He's on silly money too isn't he?

In other news this one seems to be moving on

https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.c...confident-of-closing-enzo-loiodice-agreement/

RMC Sport report that Dijon and Wolves are both confident of closing a deal for the transfer of 19-year-old French youth international central midfielder Enzo Loiodice.

DFCO rejected an opening bid worth €500k + €1.5m in bonuses, but made a counter which was very similar in terms to his initial offering.

The two clubs feel that a definitive agreement is imminent.

Jesus Vallejo has gone to Granada CF for the rest of the season. Shame but some transfers simply don't work out.

From what i saw of last night, my transfer priority is to find cover/back up for Raul. Maybe it's Campana, but for me it's the essential position to look at for us
we have Jota and the fast improving Neto, and if Podence comes in as cover for Adama then with cover for Raul and maybe a better alternative to MGW (no attack on him) as quality cover for Ruben and Mutinho in midfield i think we can then go on until the summer's more sensible window.

Saw a comment reportedly from Guachang. We dont build a team by throwing money at it but taking time and investing in young players and promoting the talent.

I love that it does mean we will not see £50 m signings but younger players who have broke through and we can build with.
If I was a young player around 22 /23 I would want to sign for us having watched that last night especially getting the opportunity to work with Nuno.

Does anyone think Moutinho may join his back room staff when he finishes?

Maybe a future wolves manager.

I've said a few times that I could see Moutinho as Nuno's long term successor. Alex Goncalvez was also speaking highly of the guy who's just taken over at Braga https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rúben_Amorim so he may be one to keep an eye on. But I don't think Nuno is going anywhere for a while...

Slight update on Oliveira.

For Nelson Oliveira, if there are developments, they will come after the AEK-Olympic derby. The subject has been "frozen" since Sunday and there is no newer one. It is not certain, however, that Wolves will return.

I was trying to learn more about Enzo Loiodice and came across this

https://www.boursorama.com/actualit...que-je-parte-1572d1262190ae480992fad3ecee1a1c

From google translating, he wants to join a club where he thinks he will get games straight away. So assume he will come straight in as a first team squad member to provide competition in midfield?

Seems a big jump from a few games in Lg 1 in France to the Prem. Surely he'll be treated in the same way as Campana? (And I'm pronouncing it Loy - dee - chay...)

My jambo supporting friend reckons we've put in a 1.7m bid for Aaron Hickey, along with Palace (1.6m) and Man City (2mil). Last week sky were reporting AC Milan were also interested.

Daniel Podence’s medical is understood to have been completed today.

He has 6 goals in 23 appearances this season. Great with the ball at his feet & can really pick out a through-ball.

Interesting! A lot of money for someone that age that’s for sure!

Plays as a defender in one of the most woeful defences in this United Kingdom.

Podence medical stuff.

Good stuff. With Neto in decent form we'll finally have multiple options on the bench who can come on and change things when we need a goal.
