January 2020 transfer window

Fine.

Bowen + Lemar + a forward who is excellent aerially would be great window then

I'm greedy.

I don't think 'because it worked in the championship' is a good reason to not reinforce the striking position. I thought we'd stopped shoehorning players into positions they aren't great at.

Maybe it's still an old mentality thing from the Moxey era people can't shake.

We're a different animal now and I hope we don't go back to that small time mentality.

I’m not saying I agree with it, just saying how the club May be thinking. Raul MkII would be great to have as well. I’m saying Jota can play centrally and I think he’s better there, so we aren’t “shoehorning”.

Bowen can play up front. Jota can play up front. We aren’t going to get a quality out and out number nine who will want to sit on the bench?

I don't think either are centre forward. Both can play up front aspart of a two but not as a lone striker.

Plus we had Cutrone as “a number 9” and he was shite in the air anyway?

Jota could definitely play as a false nine, in fact it might help us be less reliant on just lumping it forward or into the box when we run out of ideas. . I know less about Bowen of course.

who is going to be happy playing second fiddle to Raul?

That's ridiculously harsh.

Well he wasn’t the guy you painting that you want, whilst at the same time not being able to play in the wider positions. Exchange “shite” for “not good enough”, although hyperbole always makes things better.

I think it's hard to find a player to back up Raul but I'm sure there are veterans out there who can or young players we could get in to do the same job.

As Delano said it's what the recruitment team get handsomely paid for.

I don't think you're right, it was Cutrone that clearly wasn't happy with his role and Nuno too.

I don’t really get what you mean.

Nuno didn’t trust Cutrone to come and relieve pressure, hold the ball up etc. Like at Braga, that was basically the final nail, ball just kept coming back. Cutrone was obviously disappointed not to be playing also, but at this stage in his career he couldn’t do the job Nuno wanted and hence wasn’t trusted

Giroud is about as far as I can get, or maybe Mitrovic but neither are coming here to sit on the bench.

I wonder how long Rondons contract is ...

Mitrovitch is out for a while I think. I’d love Giroud, but will be way too much for a backup.
Needs to be another Cutrone style youngster I think. Shame Ennis hasn’t kicked on.

Giroud just isn’t mobile enough to do what Raul does for us. Rondon more like it if less ability dribbling.

You seem so adamant yet you really don't know. We might.

Right, our star striker whose been linked with Man Utd, we'll find someone as good as him who'll sit on our bench rather than be number 9 somewhere else?

I just don't see that happening

Edit. Unless Campana does something similar, which he might given what's been written about him, and we buy him of course
