January 2020 transfer window

Associating with Blues fans/contacts, three match ban from the pub.

Haven't been around for the last few anyway, tourist that I am...

Bellingham is very mature (hence why rejected many many offers already over the years) but when he does move it’s going to be a big big club IMO.

According to Twitter Tim II is linking us with shelling out £20m for Jarrod Bowen.

Happy with that. Seen a few Hull games this season and he can play in 2 or 3 positions in attack. Would fit us nicely

Every time I've seen him play for Hull he's played on the right and cut in onto his left. Wonder if Nuno has an inkling that Traore might play through the middle - seems unlikely, but then never thought I'd see him at WB either. And if you look at the fee for Bowen as Costa plus £5m I'd say it was fair

He's definitely a right sided or central player. But can drift around in a number of positions. I'm sure if we are in for him Nuno will have a plan for him.

I think Jota is seen as the central player tbh. I think he’s better their anyway. He will come deep and get the ball and also be able to carry it better whilst still having outlets outside

How? It doesn't address our striker depth at all as neither can play up front.

I think the Lemar stuff is nonsense.
I guess if you add Bowen to our squad it allows Nuno to move Jota central if needed. We know Jota can play as a forward with no issues.

Not going to include Lemar in the thinking as I feel that whilst it is plausible I reckon it's just a move to let bigger clubs know he is available.

So a forward line that isn't any good aerially at all? Bit one dimensional isn't it?

You make up for it in other areas. Plenty of teams out there who don’t have a big forward who get on just fine.

It worked fine in the championship, and even when Bonatini was in he wasn’t exactly a powerhouse, he was an into feet guy with zero pace.

Bowen plus Lemar would be a great window.

Id agree, gives us genuine options in attack and means Jota can deputise centrally if we need him to.

We aren't going to find anyone as good as Raul to sit on the bench or we could go for a Che Adams type player who won't be good enough

Adding Bellingham into that mix would be great the future

In the summer get in C Wilson, Fraser & Billing / Lerma from Bouremouth and we have a great squad

The only reason to take Billing would be the "Kevin Phillips defence". IE - the bugger always has his good game against us so if he is on our books it can't happen!

I don't think 'because it worked in the championship' is a good reason to not reinforce the striking position. I thought we'd stopped shoehorning players into positions they aren't great at.

Maybe it's still an old mentality thing from the Moxey era people can't shake.

We're a different animal now and I hope we don't go back to that small time mentality.
