Good people of Britain...........PANIC

Frank unleashedhed it's fury on Ireland, and western parts of the British mainland. More misery for many thousands of people as new year approaches.

Feel sorry for those in the badly affected areas - shitty weather down here all day with high winds & rain, but we don't have the water levels of elsewhere

You won't be laughing when you are buried under 15ft of snow and every river and lake in the UK is frozen solid......DOOOOOOOOOMED

(or as the Brum Mail put it - It will go cold overnight and maybe hit -5 over the next 7-10 days and a bit of snow may come)

My favourite bit is TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO FALL TO -11. (Neglecting to mention that the weather map in the article clearly shows this will occur somewhere like the top of Ben Nevis, and will not be widespread at all.)

Nathan Rao is a fucking belmer with zero credence in the meteorological community. As are the so-called experts he turns to in every story like this. James Madden for instance is totally unqualified, and Exacta weather is basically him incorrectly interpreting models in the most extreme fashion in order to generate complete bollocks like this. No qualified meteorologist will put their name anywhere near an article from Rao if they can possibly avoid it hence why there are always quotes from "a met office spokesperson". And these quotes invariably say something much calmer like "it might get a bit cold and there might be some snow".

I will worry about SNOWBOMBS* when a reliable source tells me that there is an amber snow warning for the region. Until then DE can fuck off.

*A completely made-up word

I use Accuweather and that too is forecasting a fairly stable month ahead, pretty much like it's been for the last week which is fine for me as it means I should be able to go out training rather than spend hours in the garage on the turbo sweating like a bastard. Anyone believing that story deserves a kick in the cock. Or cunt.

There's a hurricane on our side of the Atlantic for what I think they said on the weather forecast is only the fourth time in history.

Really?

Hurricane season ends on November 30 so it is technically a winter storm with hurricane force winds.

Just had a look - seems to be heading toward the Azores. Daily Express will no doubt tell us it is heading this way!

Looked at the forecast again it's the only the fourth recorded Atlantic hurricane in January.

Small covering in Pendeford but nothing to worry about. Few showers running down the Cheshire gap, but that is about it.

Yikes!
We'd originally booked to go to Tenerife in February....
Can yo imagine the grief that people are going to suffer?
"Ey up! Where's me palm tree gone?"
"That's the 3rd pint that the froth's been blown off..."

Moved to May.

Hmmm. The Azores are quite a long way from the canaries. Plus hurricane season starts in may so you would be moving to a slightly more risky time. We're the canaries on any known hurricane track. Which they are not. Safe to leave the date where it is I reckon.

Fair dusting up here near Stoke. Took an hour to go 3 miles into work this morning as clearly everybody forgets how to drive when snow appears.
