Giro d'Italia / Tour de France

That was really careless. Well done to Froome for spotting it and taking advantage.

All that effort up the Blanche Filles and into Peyregaudes and he pisses it away on a puncheur finish.

I know something must have happened, but we missed it on Spanish TV. Why did Aru fall back, at the end?

Ballsed that up didn't he. Stage was quite dull until the last climb and fair play to Sky they saw it and went for it.

He thought the favourites were just going to coast in but it was a fairly large peloton and he wasn't near enough to the front when the fun started and it bust into pieces.

It is a shame that he does damage on 20% horrors and then fucks all the work up on a 1.4km 9% ramp

It was a very long proton and at times in the last few kilometres the roads were very narrow. The truth is Aru is very young and has a lot to learn. I think just as important, he doesn't have the people in his team to support him, that Froome has.
Aru will definitely be one for the future.

Lovely scenes as the fans boo Froome

$#@!ing $#@!s

True to say, Paddy, Froome riding for another team this year, would have probably not won this Tour?
Landas and Sky giving everything for Froome, yet again. It seems to me, that Froome is not quite the rider he was, but Sky are light years ahead of the other teams.

Another cracking stage. Fuck the French the utter cunts for booing Froome. Froome's catching of the AGR team was brilliant to watch from a world class cyclist.

The stage had everything.

The Alps will be crucial and whilst Froome is favourite I think Bardet and Aru will be strong. So all about the mental game up to the time trial.

One thing's for sure, that being if Froome wins this edition he is actually going to have to win it rather than crush one or two stages and negate everyone else. He has had some luck though, the mechanical yesterday was far enough out for AG2R to capitalise, and with a rest day today he can recover some after burying himself to bridge the gap.

Did anyone else see the interview with one of Aru's teammates who said that Aru wasn't talking to his team and ballsed it all up? Then, when he was informed that Froome had taken yellow he replied "Good,"? I imagine a small bollocking might have been delivered.

Yeah, it was at the start of the ITV4 highlights last night. He must have had a quiet talking to as they interviewed him again before yesterday's stage and he waas slightly more sensitive to the plight of his team-mate!

Great sprint finish at the end - Aru the big loser

Only just noticed this thread only stuck to Wolves in the past. Excellent stage for Froome today, he seems in full control. Think his biggest will come from Bardet now.

Just watching the hghlights on Eurosport

I LOVE the Galibier. Such a tough climb.

Tougher day than I think most were expecting. Tomorrow is the chance for Bardet and unless he wins I think Froome crushes him in the TT.

Froome fears Uran more judging by his interviews; Bardet will need, what, a minute-and-a-half on Froome today today to compensate for the time trial in Marseille? Even if he (Froome) ships a minute on this stage you'd expect him to triumph overall barring a mechanical, something which he's had a curious few of this tour.

Yeah I would expect him to be able to take a minute on Uran, Bardet and Aru in the TT so unless he blows up today he should be fine. Been away for 12 days so missed everything so today is all about sitting back and watching the entire stage!
