Giro d'Italia / Tour de France

Been a great week of racing, looking forward to the final week, let's hope for more of the same!

That was fantastic. Froome and Quintana are so well matched and Conty can't quite live with them. Yates looks a star and potential future grand tour winner to me as well.

Yates 1-2 in the Tour one day would be nice (and not totally implausible).

Great wasn't it, Quintana looked like he was playing with Froom at the end. Both Yates boys competing with Quintana every GT would be great.

Quintana and Contador have broken and are a minute up on Froome. There are nearly a 100 kilometres left, though. Froome has been constantly on at the team car, to get the Sky cyclists, to get a move on and reduce the lead of Quintana and Contador.

6 Sky cyclists are about 5 minutes down on Quintana and Contador. Froome is in the second group and is over 2 minutes down on the leading group. Froome only has one Sky cyclists around him, to help him reduce the lead of Quintana and Contador.

Quintana has left Contador standing, with only 1.5 kilometers left. Quintana has a lead over Froome of 2.26 minutes.

Sky fucked it up today. Race over. Shame as could have been a thrilling conclusion.

Froome isn't getting three minutes back in the time trial so yep, all done and dusted.

Good day for the Froomester, but I would be amazed if he could make up 80 seconds tomorrow. That climb outside Benidorm has Quintana written all over it. Absolute beast.

Yeah great effort from Froome but can't see him cracking Quintana for 1 second let alone 80.

Froome applauds Quintana, as Quintana goes over the line before Froome. Froome tried many times to break Quintana, but Quintana stuck next to Froome's back wheel, until they could see the finish line, then Quintana took Froome. Contador, missed the podium by 12 seconds. A fantastic stage and Froome showed great sportsmanship applauding Quintana as he went passed him.

Izoard summit finish...plateau des belles filles...peyragudes...

shiny.

However, there are a lot fewer Categorie 1 and Hors Categorie climbs in the 2017 edition so booo hiss for that.
