General Wolves News

'Actionable insights' my arse. You mean someone taking charge, looking around and shouting to someone to mark somebody tight? We used to do that in the Wolverhampton Sunday League and then after the match someone might have another 'actionable insight' and suggest which pub we would go to.
It's this kind of drivel that does people no favours.

It's as much a load of bollocks as the deleted GoN rubbish.

Arteta and Maresca were only Assistants at City and are doing OK. It's not a role many teams will have lower down the pyramid so for a club like ours you either give it to a none specialist like Brentford have with Andrews or you promote someone from a larger club. It's not worked out, but that's not because of his background

For all the sneering and laughing at this set piece guy (and believe me I have been part of that). It shouldn't be missed that other teams seem to have spotted this and then adapted to what they have seen as a clear weakness.

I have to only just had a quick look at the stats this evening, but goals and shots from corners are now increasing and have done for the past two seasons, and more and more teams are going for the back post. This was one of the better written pieces that some may enjoy. So does seem we have missed a trend potentially and made ourselves vulnerable.

"One key difference, though, is how many more of the corners aimed to the back-post zone resulted in shots. Of the corners where the first contact was at the back post, 25.8% were turned towards goal compared to 13.2% at the front post and 12.2% in the centre. Almost two times as many of the corners where the first contact was at the back post were converted into goals (3.1%) as corners to the front post (1.6%) and to the middle of the goal (1.5%)."

How much of that do we account for?

That is for last season the data. We will have had an impact on this seasons as let on 3 goals in the same manner despite it being so early in the year you would imagine the stats for back post is higher due to us.

Doesn’t look like there’s been much interest in Brighton away yet from ASTs. Another one that may well end up going to general sale.

Just got rid of my Brighton away tickets.

Maybe shameful but I honestly can’t handle it at the moment.

EMF have three gigs in and around Brighton so fuck Gary O'Neil's barmy army.

This is not new news, they're just bland comments from the manager about it. I will leave it up for ridicule.

No, I have no thoughts of January at the moment...

Apart from where I will be off skiing with the family
