Saunders lucked out at Donny in 12/13.

They were promoted as Champions with 84 points. In our promotion season that total would have seen them finish sixth and in the 6 (full) seasons since 2013 they'd have finished 4th three times, 6th twice and 3rd once once

He had no pedigree whatsoever, I didn't buy the he's only interested in his building developments but Morgan us undoubtedly full of shit at this point.
 
I'm sure either he or Jez (or maybe even both) kept talking about him as a "young manager" at the time too. He was older in 2013 than Mick was when he took over in 2006.

Spent weeks, nay months pushing the "he's doing as well as anyone could really, all this is beyond his control, fans should stick by him" line then sticks the boot in immediately after he's binned and says "yeah, I knew he wasn't really suitable all along". Fuck off Martin.

I'm still not over the whole episode. Not sure I ever will be.

Should read "Wolves' sacking of manager Dean Saunders is merciless, a little cruel, brutally swift, and totally deserved".
 
I remember watching being interviewed when he was manager of Donny. A complete fuckwit who talked bollocks and had motivational wank plastered all over the dressing room. "If you're not fired with enthusiasm you'll be fired with enthusiasm." Seriously, I thought, what grown man thinks something like that is useful? A week later he was Wolves boss...
 
When he got his big move, he proved to not be up to it and was bombed out in a season

It is, along with players at all of the other Premier League clubs who are doing something similar. I've read on the G&S that Nuno has also donated to hospital in Portugal.
 
Take Grealish out and stick a CDM in and that's a great team :D
 
Assuming they don't give a fuck about defensive stats for midfielders looking at that line up.
