General Wolves News

Christ. Viz got Hoddle to odds on for the Newcastle job by spreading internet bollocks. Which was hugely hilarious, but tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about managerial betting markets.

He didn't get it though. As soon as Preston issued the fuck off statement, the odds should have gone the other way, but numpties lumped on.

Obviously but at least the movement in the odds made sense on that one

The next manager market is the biggest load of bollocks in gambling. Much better to take a punt on the coin toss in a test match.

Unless you KNOW. There was one that DW knew earlier in the year and made a few quid on. Otherwise it's like catching a falling knife.

This idea that clubs can regularly poach managers who are employed by other clubs at the top end of the game is miles out of date. Basically any club that has Prem money running through it can dig their heels in- the whole Marco Silva situation is the only recent exception that jumps to mind.

Arsenal are way more likely to go for a manager who’s currently unemployed than throwing millions at trying to prise Nuno away.

Any news on the various injuries and when they're likely to be back? Boly, Jordao? Assuming we're not going to see Meritan Shabani until next season...

Jordao is back. He played at Villa Park. Don't think he has been in the U23's as he has been one of the odd ones out in the matchday squad recenty
Boly - Interview with Saiss yesterday mentions January/February for his comeback
MGW - No news
Benno - We seem to be trying to manage his injury. He looks fine when he plays but since returning he seems to be in he squad one week and out the next
Shabani - Forget about him for the season.

I read that this morning. Thick bastards.

Wolves tweet a few pics of the players getting on the plane and people are stressing as Nuno isn't in them "WHERE IS NUNO" "NUNO NOT TRAVELLING?"

fucks sake, our fans on Social Media at times

Nuno was taking the pictures....FOR HIS FAREWELL SCRAPBOOK.

While there are a few Nobheads on there, I also see some basically positive stuff and some pretty knowledgeable stuff about how Nuno has brought us to where we are. The comments from one poster about Coady Doherty and Bennett are spot on.

General consensus seems to be it would be risky for both them and Nuno rather than it would be a bad appointment. And they also don’t think Nuno would leave us mid-season. Seems fair enough to me. Goonersworld is much the same.

On the Beeb:

"BBC Sport understands that if Emery is sacked and Nuno is allowed to speak to Arsenal, then the Portuguese would be a strong contender to take over."

So IF Emery is sacked, then IF Jeff allows Arsenal to speak to Nuno, then they still have no idea if Nuno would actually be interested. Waste of journalism.

Nuno may be a strong contender in the eyes of the Arsenal board - whether he is in his eyes is another matter alltogether

Straight bat forward defensive by Nuno in the presser. He might be useful in New Zealand...

He did say its not a reality, but that is really saying "Unai Emery is in that role".
