General Wolves News

I've been following this story and I'm far from happy with WWFC, over this matter. Seems that all you need is cash! Bugger morals and bugger the supporters.

Just seen the team for tonight and it is more disgraceful than the Money Shop.... Can I jump on the train and head back to the York Tap?

Jez : " It's a service that if it wasn't available, the alternatives to the people who need it are quite stark "

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Yes it's a spurious remark, but he is kind of right. I took out a payday loan to tide me over til the end of the month after getting a new boiler installed last year, and at least it was up front about how much it was going to rip me off for. What else was there to do, use an unsolicited loan shark in the street? Fuck that.

Banks don't help sometimes by not making it more clear what is available in terms of all credit facilities.

I wasn't aware of banks helping the rich avoid tax either. That's what accountants and financial managers are for.
Yes they are there for tax avoidance which I believe to be legal but not tax evasion which I believe is illegal. This for example - http://www.parliament.uk/business/c...s/parliament-2010/tax-avoidance-evasion-hsbc/

This is probably getting a bit too far off topic. I guess the point that I'm trying to make is that, from my point of view, that the ethics of many companies that advertise through football sponsorship leaves much to be desired.

As a one off I guess we'd all use such a service as a very last resort or get very cold for a few days. Lets face it many people aren't that good at managing money but you don't facilitate this or promote this. The interest rates are so obscenely high for a reason. The whole model is aimed at vulnerable people.

I'd love to see Jack Daniel as a shirt sponsor. It might put some spirit into the side. :)

Do we know what sort of money it takes to get your name on the front of the shirt?

I emailed the supports complaints department the other day when this started. And have just received a response, it looks entirely personalised to my email (if that makes sense) as addresses every single point in quite a bit of depth. Will read through it latter and put some parts of it up, lots of history about the company, it's ethics and regulations as well as information about the moneyshop chairman who is a lifelong Wolves fan (although I think they mentioned that in the video as can't think why else I already knew that - unless someone mentioned it on here)

They mentioned in the reply to Lycan's email, which he's posted in this thread.

Their MD spoke of his lifelong Wolves credentials in his Wolves World interview last week. Hopefully he can tell Jez what colour Wolves are meant to play in
