We needed 3 new starting defenders and a new keeper, we maybe signed 1.
I'd be amazed if Kilman gets dropped, especially as he wasn't directly to blame for any of the goals yesterday.
Was enjoying catching up on things today...until this.Meantime Boly is doing great at Forest now he's fit.
Surprised there's not an tickbox option to donate it back to the club to pool together and pay off GoN.BTW The season ticket bonus has been paid out to season ticket holders, I've got 30 nicker.
Are we tucking Semedo in to cover for Dawson's lack of pace? All to blame for me. Sarabia follows Eze but doesn’t block the pass through the lines. Semedo is tucked in but doesn’t react to Sarabia pressing and leaves the space and then he invites the cross. Centre backs are both a yard out of position or too slow and bang.
To be honest, I wouldn’t be against giving Doc a start - and I say that fully knowing what the general opinion of him is like on here.I’d consider bringing Jonny back, both full backs are guaranteed a fuck up at least once a game. Jonny RB, Bueno LB. Bring Toti and S Bueno in.
ScoffTo be honest, I wouldn’t be against giving Doc a start - and I say that fully knowing what the general opinion of him is like on here.
Doc is about as defensively capable as Semedo but less likely to do one monumental fuck off per match, but he actually offers something offensively.
People will (naturally) scoff at the idea of playing Doc in a back 4, but I’ve also seen enough of Semedo to know what he does/doesn’t offer.
I’d also be delighted if Kilman got binned off, but we all know that isn’t happening.
Come onDoc is about as defensively capable as Semedo
Not sure I trust Jonny to start in the PL so Doc is the only alternative.Come on
There's an argument to be made, although I wouldn't do it myself, about going to a back 5 and Doherty playing as a WB, but not as a FB. That being a debate is again down to us not having a 2 we can trust, same old same oldNot sure I trust Jonny to start in the PL so Doc is the only alternative.
Moot discussion as clearly Semedo won’t be dropped.
I think it suits every one of the back 4 accept Semedo (insert Doc here) and can get more out of Sarabia and Neto. Sasa as the #9 and then Cunha would have to play in one of the #10s ahead of the other two. There's an argument to be made, although I wouldn't do it myself, about going to a back 5 and Doherty playing as a WB, but not as a FB. It doesn’t have to be a negative formation.
I think we all wish it was 2019 again. But it has been when we've used it for ages now, and it doesn't stop us conceding either.
Just smacks of people wishing it were 2019 again.
I mean we’ve been shit in an attacking sense full stop for what seems like forever. We were even shit (average) when we were good if someone Parked the bus.But it has been when we've used it for ages now, and it doesn't stop us conceding either.

It doesn't have to be a negative formation obviously, we've seen first hand how exciting a team playing a back 5 and a low block can be, but it would be under O'Neil. He's already put the shackles on our front 4 under the guise of being more 'balanced', any shift to a back 3 now would be purely to have an extra defender and limit the amount of space we have to defend as individuals, how that formation worked in an attacking sense would be an afterthought.I think it suits every one of the back 4 accept Semedo (insert Doc here) and can get more out of Sarabia and Neto.
