I can't argue with that.Thommo took a mean pen though!
What he said. Sentimental viewpoint put Thommo close. Obviously Jonny is the far more accomplished player, hence why he made it!If you have been watching Wolves since the late 80's then players from that era will hold a sentimental place in your thinking.
Of course Thommo is nowhere near the level of Jonny etc but the memories he helped create in sending the club back up the leagues will over power any logical thinking
Unless you are a robot or can only view life in Black or White of course....(no offence to the Deutsch-bot of course, he is just built different to the rest of us...)

He did take about 45 though! The only line-up I'd ever put Thommo in is a specialist penalty shoot-out one. Even then I'd rather have Raul, de Wolf or SEB ahead of him. He wasn't flawless, I saw him miss at least three.
Stoke at home in 1993Misses I remember were against Blues away (Bart Greimink!?) and against Sheff Wed in the cup.
I don't think it was against Bart Greimink, who was lodging in a mates house whilst at Blues. He scored a retaken one against him at home in the 3-2 someone shot Kevin Francis game.Misses I remember were against Blues away (Bart Greimink!?) and against Sheff Wed in the cup.
You are correct - he did miss at Blues a few weeks earlier.Misses I remember were against Blues away (Bart Greimink!?) and against Sheff Wed in the cup.
He definitely missed against Blues away, I was in the Blues end with my dad and the locals realised we were Wolves pretty early on, which wasn't ideal.I don't think it was against Bart Greimink, who was lodging in a mates house whilst at Blues. It was. The two games were pretty close together, think the away game was a re-arranged one, in typical fashion their shithole ground couldn't deal with bad weather in the winter. He definitely missed against Blues away, I was in the Blues end with my dad and the locals realised we were Wolves pretty early on, which wasn't ideal.
I remember Barry Fry running up the touchline celebrating one of their goals - cock.
I feel like it was the same season as the 3-2 win.

Their keeper (might have been Griemink, I can't remember) was dicking around after it was awarded and Thommo rolled it into an empty net. Ref bottled it when really he should have said tough shit to them, and he ended up missing.
Ratface Devlin got their goals, we lost 2-0.
See below, it came in handy in the middle of a discussion, see, I told you(no offence to the Deutsch-bot of course, he is just built different to the rest of us...)
