Fulham 1-4 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Sarabia against Spurs last year as well. We have some technically superb players. Now it is about taking confidence from this run and increasing the points tally. I thought our morale might have been borked by the start and we would miss out when the fixtures became less horrendous, but I have been both surprised and delighted to have been off the mark. We simply must make the most of the pre-Christmas run. Especially if we can win at Goodison as the other fixtures for Everton in December are as bad as we had in August and September. Get to New Year a fair bit clear and then we get our next horror run in January. It would be very calming to have a margin before those fixtures hit.

Was busy working away on house issues yesterday and other than being informed we were losing 1-0 at one stage, had little idea we had won; let alone how it had happened.

Some fantastic goals in there.

Since leaving Arsenal Iwobi has played 165 PL games scoring 14 goals, 6 of those have been against Wolves, all in different games.

Also for the people who only watch a player against us and decide he's brilliant, Ellis Simms has 2 goals this season and is now on the bench. He's a carthorse who had the game of his life.

Some of us watch more than just wolves games.

I never said he was brilliant, i said and it happens here all the time, players get mentioned, on here he gets a big NO HE Is FUCKING SHIT.

And two of those players are now playing in a Team everyone here has said over the last week are better than us.

I was just pointing out this place is not the fountain of Knowledge some think it is.

Hmmm - are those two Traore and Raul?

Raul - we all miss him, he was a great, great striker for us and I will always wish him well, especially after the awful injury (code red is still a difficult watch even though we now know he has recovered pretty much), but his output had definitely gone in the post-injury season and I felt we got a decent price.

Traore - the enigma wrapped in a riddle. Every manager who gets him thinks they can turn him into a world-beater. Nuno thought the same. But he is always the most frustrating bastard. I will never forget those goals at the Emptihad. Wonderful. However, I question why was a Klopp, a Guardiola not interested in paying for him and turning him into what would have been the best player on the planet if his brain could match his feet? Because they looked and thought it is never going to happen. It was too late in his career. Thanks for the odd brilliance Adama. But less thankful for the spannered shots and crosses that landed in West Park.

I should point out that in his career, Iwobi is fucking shit. Except against us. Which is odd, but doesn't make him Gerd Muller.

Iwona has been pretty good this season I think.

Ah - many humble apologies. I was trying to relate his points to something that vaguely made sense. Lesson learned.

Smith Rowe was also substituted against us having been chocolate fire guard effective. Just saying.

Couple of things Marco Silva moaning about going down to 10 men. Erm that’s on you pal for chucking the kitchen sink at us to early and the reason you did is because you were already 2-1 down.
Secondly hitting the woodwork isn’t unlucky, it’s a shot off target.

And it is font of knowledge. Not fountain.
Font is traditionally the Americanisation spelling of fount, the latter being the typical British English spelling. Font, fount and fountain of knowledge can all correctly be used interchangeably as all derive from the Latin word fonte meaning fountain.

To be fair I've thought Iwobi has come on a lot since about 22/23 when he was Everton's best player that year. He's not the complete waste of space he used to be, although his record against us is still bizarre given he doesn't score much.

Personally I think you are being quite generous. I have no idea what it is that makes him always score against us. It's a complete mystery. Against everyone else he looks garbage.

I don't mind him - he doesn't have a lot of end product generally but he does the nuts and bolts of the game pretty adequately for the most part.
