Fulham 1-4 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Just watched the goals back and what a finish from Joao Gomes. Left foot hit from a DM and he finishes it like a striker!

Oh and note to Brighton - That's how you finish off a 4 man break 😂

Was working until 4.30, but that's a cracking result. Enjoy Cunha for the next six months because whatever league Wolves are next season in he won't be playing here. Problem is like with Neto we don't have the succession planning in place, but that's for another day.
However good our succession planning is we will be weaker up front next season if/when he leaves. Hopefully his form will continue and we will get a mega fee for him.

I thought we'd lost those games because of poor individual performances from our full backs (who have no serviceable replacements) mainly. With some poor goalkeeping thrown in.

Full backs were doing what they were told, you could see today how much better RAN was defensively when he wasn’t required to be the only attacking player on the left too.

The circle of management. Lose they get stick. Win they get credit. To be pedantic you could say today we’ve won because our equaliser is2 bits of individual brilliance by lemina and cunha, and cunha for the third.

Have to take the rough with the smooth.

FWIW he get his subs spot on today by not making any as we were on top. Previously he would’ve thrown Doyle on to tighten up the midfield when a goal up with 15 to go

Great result, although I’m an O’Neil sceptic I still want us to win every game.
Having said that with the quality we have in the squad I still believe a better Coach would have us comfortably mid table.
Hopefully come May O’Neil will have proved to be that Coach.

Sorry that’s nonsense if you were talking about the fanbase in 90’s I’d agree not now.
So many players are not good enough to play for wolves though right?

It's still even an unconscious bias.

Some fancy name from Europe and everyone wets their knickers.

Just home, what a win!

Cunha is just brilliant, there's not much more to say about him!

Felt Andre gave us some stability in midfield, allowed Gomes to run and press without fear. Andre is good on the ball as well, consistently looks to see if a forward pass is on before looking for a safety first ball.

Lovely to give Raúl a serenade, wouldn't have happened if he'd scored that sitter mind you!

For all the positives of the result, we still looked soft at the back (understandable with the injuries) and Fulham hit the woodwork 3 times.

Anyway, time to savour 3 points, being outside of the relegation zone and 4 good goals. I still don't believe GON is the right man for the job, but that's for another day - let's just enjoy our first back to back wins since February 2023!

Should somebody inform the people that Bellegarde is French, then?

To that point, Wood isn't from Britain. So not sure why the reference to Europeans (which ain't even accurate, as far as I can tell).
