FA Cup: Wolves 2-1 Man Utd - Verdict thread

Back home (a couple of hours ago) - the atmosphere around town & particularly in the Stadium was electric & have just about come down from it (even the crap beds in Redwings which have given me a massive stiff neck are as of nothing).

Utd just never really in it, but when we turned up the heat in the second half we blew them away. Jiminez got MoTM (and he was superb, but then no one gets less than a 9 anyway so they all could have been) - for me though Moutinho takes that title. A masterful performance & we got him for £5 m - just really think about that, £5 m, about 5% of a Pogba who he completely outshone.

That is mental. Probably the best wolves player I've ever seen (sorry Bully) and he cost less than we paid for Roger Johnson.

We made the decision to drink out of town beforehand. Looks like we made the right choice and breezed to the ground in no time just before kickoff.

We went to Gornal and had Bathams before heading into town. Had a brilliant time.

Funnily enough I had considered a Gornal pub crawl before the match. But it never materialised.

Home and had time to rewatch the match.

What struck me was that I could only hear Man u singing for most of the game, yet at the match i could only hear us! Those who don't frequent the south bank, were. Man u actually loud and we were quiet? Certainly didn't feel that way!

Anyway, we were superbly organised, two great goals and I thought the lindleoff red/yellow was a classic example of too much for a yellow and not enough for a red., not certain it was "obviously an incorrect decision" therefore I'm surprised the red was reduced!

United fans in the NB were loud. Shut up on Jota's goal though and then they read the rules of the stand and started to leave with ten to go...

A little TV trick. Strategically pop microphones around the United fans and crank it up when they please.

There was deadly silence when United scored as 90% of their support were halfway back to the station.

Systematically killing a Stone Roses song doesn't constitute great support. It would turn Ian Brown into a Citeh fan.

I thought so, the commentators mentioned how loud Molineux was a couple of times yet all I could hear on TV was a uttering of "Ole at the wheel".

No wonder man u have a great away rep!

The Cullis end was loud but I'm right next to them. However I heard The Southbank very well as well.

I'm in the BW and could hear both sets singing. After the first 20 mins we were louder though. There was even a bit of singing in the BW :)

One of the things you used to be able to grudgingly respect United for was the variation of their songs. Now they are like a PL Blues.

A fair bit in my section of the BW - though we are right down at the SB end so probably encourages that. The MU fans were too far away from me to really hear them properly
