FA Cup: Wolves 2-1 Man Utd - Verdict thread

What a brilliant evening. Cracking band in the garden of the Combermere as well.

My brain is exploding but it was absolutely worth it.

That sounds terrible. Got any pictures?
Just a screen grab off iPlayer.

I think they are the winners of W88 hospitality thingy. They have 2 or 3 fans chosen every home game and the day includes being on the centre circle before kick off.

moutinho - such a good player. total pleasure to see him playing for us. hard to believe sometimes how quickly things have changed. it’s emotional.

Just a word of praise for the Donk in that 2nd goal (just watched it for the 112th time). He heads the ball out to Neves who sets Jota free. Who is on the Man Utd penalty spot as the hits the back of the net? Donk. He gets better and better

I'm still trying to process this.

Watched it on the box with a mate as I couldn't get a ticket

I'm still re watching highlights now!

Ruddy Free

Saiss £2m
Coady £2m
Boly £12m

Doherty £100k
Dendoncker £12m
Neves £15.8m
Moutinho £5m
Jonny £15m

Jimenez £3m loan
Jota £12m

Under £80m to put that team together. By Premier League standards that is not a lot, Everton paid more than that just for Richarlison and Sigurdsson (neither of whom would get in our first XI).

Ah that's fair enough then. As long as its not some dodgy advertising thing.

As a Dad now, I feel the need to point out they must have been freezing dressed like that.

We were oleing and playing keep ball, 2-0 up AGAINST MANCHESTER UNITED.

We're Wolverhampton, we're taking the piss.

Ladies and gentlemen of TWF, we have officially arrived, and shit is only going to get better from here. What a time to be alive.

£10m less that Pogba then all together ?

p.s. I thought Doherty was only £75k ?

2 years ago this weekend we beat Fulham 3-1. Conor Coady was RB, Matt Doherty was LB, Edwards, Evans and Marshall were in midfield. Romain Saiss was on the bench...

That was a great performance that day. Great in terms of what we had seen at Wolves over numerous years before. Compare it to last night and we are now in a different Universe

Raul is essentially £35m though. We all know we are going to pay it, it's just a matter of time.

Just bask in the warm after glow of an amazing performance

Splitting hairs about prices etc is for another day

We haven't paid it yet though so the team that beat the CL quarter finalists yesterday cost what Deutsch posted.

Five quid for the programme yesterday - although it is very nice looking with the gold leaf embossed on front and back.
