FA Cup: Wolves 2-1 Man Utd - Verdict thread

One – the only – neg from last night is that Nuno must now be on the ‘next manager’ list of every top team in Europe. The positive is Fosun will move heaven and earth to keep him and if that means a £60m player then that’s what we’ll get. And how many people in China will have watched that game? Long-term, last night could have a huge impact on Wolves’ future.

I will be honest with you, never thought we would knock out man u after solskjaer and all that. We were spot on right through the game..nailed it defensively with Coady..Neves and Moutinho ruled in central midfield..Jota and Jimenez fit well together..Raul is some player, so allround both offensively and defensively

Ooh, forgot one thing..Dendoncker did also a very good job on Pogba keeping him quiet

I drank no alcohol yesterday but today I feel like like I was on a 12 hour session that ended with 2 bottles of JD.

Seriously thought I was going to pass out when Raul scored. Had to stop celebrating and lean up my seat as my head and legs had gone. Properly worried for 30 seconds or so.

Still...WHAT A NIGHT.

Every player gets a 9.5/10 except Moutinho who gets a 12/10. The guy is just class.

Post game, I'm a broken man today. Mind you, 6 hours broken sleep in redwings on a bed made of shards of metal hasn't helped!

What a performance, controlled the first half without needing to do much except hold our shape. Second half we were electric and deserved the win.

Is there a better counter in England at the moment?

Also, Molineux... One of the loudest atmospheres I've experienced (Palace at home in the playoffs probably rivals it).

Just a word of caution

Conceding a few late goals this year. One to watch and sort. The only very small negative but it needs saying.
Won’t be a negative to everyone apart from me on social media who had a bet on 2-1 last night.

None of the highlights have shown Coady's interception and outside of the foot pass forward, fanatastic bit of play and really got us going.

Thought coady was exceptional yesterday and made more driving runs forward than normal. Love the guy.

I feel broken today and only had 3 pints.

Big thanks to Boozad for the ticket [emoji106]

What an atmosphere, I've never heard anything like it when Jota's goal went in. Euphoria!

Only negative for me was having to sit next to Johnny for 90 mins[emoji3525]

What an outstanding day. We were brilliant, the scoreline massively flatters Utd, every single Wolves player can be very proud of their performance.

Moutinho, Neves and Donk were sublime, Jota and Raul a constant menace, the back 3 imperious. I would have recalled Bennett for this one but after that, Saiss needs to keep his place. Outstanding stuff.

Best atmosphere I can remember inside Molineux - huge thanks to Trips for sorting me a ticket. It was a privilege to be there.

It would've been 4am in China (or Beijing, anyway) when we kicked off so maybe it wouldn't have had the numbers watching live a 3pm would've

It's a result that will echo around the world though

Full game is on the iPlayer. Already rewatched it this morning

Fucking red cafe forum.... Ha ha

"They have done well but I don't understand the high praise they get. They're basically a Big Sam team but with better players and spent lots more"

"They play the Portuguese style of stinking the place out and countering basically"

just watched the highlights.......again and noticed Jiminez celebration, was that a tribute to Bully or does he always do the aeroplane thing>

Brilliant performance. Didn't just beat them, totally outplayed them. Was Pogba still on the pitch second half?

At least he's positive.

Was alright last night I suppose.

5/10

Just watched the highlights for the third time having followed the game on radio. Moutinho skinned three man u players, Raul turns and scores while surrounded by four Man U players and Diego left Shaw flat on his arse, this was a stunning performance.
I know it was only the highlights, but apart from the late goal did MU get a kick after the first 20 minutes?
Man City next, i have no fears and Nuno is GOD!
