Everton 4-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Was gonna finish my Bourbon and retire for the evening, but I've got the urge to stay up and watch, like that morbid curiosity when you pass a car crash on the motorway.

Hope the triggers pulled before I doze off on the sofa.

As I said in the matchday thread, a performance as cowardly as the 0-5 v Fulham under Connor. And we all know what happened after that.

First time I can genuinely say some players weren't arsed. Everton could have had several more without having to work any harder.

We had players out there today who either didn't know what they were supposed to do or - even more worryingly - didn't want to do what they were supposed to do. The space Everton were allowed in key areas all night was unbelievable. Then we gave up even trying to defend set pieces. Very professional.

The attitude, the performance, the mentality all unforgiveable and it should 100% have finally cost GON his job.

If we can limp to January and get a point or two and bring a couple of players in early … Sorry, I’m clearly delusional, we’re going down!

Moyes is a reasonably sensible and safe option
Hate to agree but he is in this situation. But much depends on the January recruitment and he won't have much say in that regard... and that is the problem in modern day football when you don't let the coach have the tools to do the job his way.

Our defending on set pieces is shambolic.

Players have no idea of shape, tactics - but most importantly, no fight. They’re not playing for him.

Sa is a bombscare. Zero idea of what’s going on with Johnstone and he’s shite anyway.

Dawson (our most experienced player) genuinely looked like he was actively trying to get the manager sacked.

4-0 down and he’s got the likes of Forbes sat on the bench. Tommy Doyle coming on for a token 5 minutes when Joao Gomes was blowing out of his arse after an hour.

We had 2 on 2 at the back from 10 minutes in. No reaction, nothing.

No one comes back from this - it’s not happening - so just fucking sack him.

Needs to be quick and Moyes in tomorrow!

GON is going nowhere, we have more to suffer.

Lop to spank us next
Agree, Fosun have no interest in football anymore, he’ll probably be still at the Club at the end of the season.
They’ll make a nice little profit when selling our best players and leave us to stagnate in the Championship while they look to sell.

So only Southampton below us now... Ipswich above us on goal diff. Marvelous. At least Utd can't defend a corner either.

What a fucking mess of a performance. For all they were playing for him against Fulham tonight was a performance where they looked desperate to get him out. The close up of him on the touchline midway through the second half he looked like her was about to cry. Heard chants of 'wanker, wanker, wanker' at FT, presumably aimed at O'Neil?

For as desperate as they seem to persevere with this bloke I don't see how he survives this

Comically bad, literally laugh out loud it was so bad. Everton could and should have had 7+

I hate the deluded fucking prick, Saunders would be an improvement
