Euro 2016 Qualifiers - The Road to France

Shame, in terms of goals, this has died in the last 20 but good that the Gibbies haven't been utterly destroyed.

FT 7-0

Time to watch some more minnows now.....Northern Ireland

Germany team vs Poland:

Neuer - Rüdiger, Hummels, Boateng, Durm - Kramer, Kroos - Bellarabi, Götze, Schürrle - Müller

Could be a tricky game this one. Poland should be doing a lot better than they have of late with the players they have, they're always pumped up for games against Germany though (can't think why)

Poor bugger! Unenforced keeper changes are normally only seen in Football Manager rages. Like the time I released Edwin van der Sar before the Champions League final had even ended after he got himself sent off.
The keeper got the loudest cheer of the evening as he ran off. Standing ovation! Thought that was a nice touch from the crowd today

They were cheering one of the finest goal scoring threats in the game though.

Ireland, Northern 1 up after 7 mins v the Faroe Islands

Ah! The dulcet tones of Clarke Carlisle casting his expert international football eye on the Poland Germany game.

Ireland have battered the Faroes but they have a penalty and its a saved brilliantly by Roy Carroll

Pretty dull in Poland,0-0 HT

Northern Ireland game is actualy quite good. All Ireland, apart from the Penalty and a brilliant atmosphere at Windsor Park even though it only has 2 stands (rebuilding the ground at the mo)

Neuer and Boateng both at fault as Poland take the lead.

Podolski trying to break the back of the net as per. I think that's a bad miss rather than unlucky.

2-0 Poland. Don't take your chances and get punished.

That result for Poland must feel like Scotland beating England in 1967.

It's a worse result for Ireland and Scotland than it is Germany.

Looks like Baines, Delph and Lallana in for Gibbs, Milner and Sterling.
