So far, IT systems aside, this has been a good area for the Government. To have 500,000 people start the vaccination so far is impressive.

Big test when the Oxford one is approved and the numbers being done a day will jump massively. Thankfully it looks like the time spent since the summer planning for the rollout was time well spent

Yeah, I think our sequencing capabilities are amongst the best in the world. The key now is understanding where the strain is most prevelent in the world, and keeping it there.

Been out for a meal tonight...because I could and this was booked ages ago for my Daughters birthday...Got to say well played to the pub (Boars Head in Nantwich) for sticking to the rules rigidly. A table had finished their meals and asked for another round of drinks but were refused as they were no longer eating. Comments from the staff taken without issue as well.
Now if everyone could follow and accept the rules in such a manner that would be ace.

Missus going to do our weekly shop tomorrow, with the news of freight to and from France stopped, I'm expecting there will be queues and panic buying, despite the supermarkets saying their warehouses are full.

Was planning on doing ours on Tuesday but will be going in the morning before work now. I wont be panic buying and will just buy what we need, but the concern is others will panic buy.

Getting more convinced that we will be back in a national lockdown sooner rather than later, reckon it could be as early as this week

They've totally fucked this. Two lockdowns and we end up here!

The equivalent of blagging a two week extension for an essay at uni, then on day 14 after you've been on the piss for a fortnight thinking "shit, I know what I was meant to do". They've wasted so much time and ruined so many people's lives along the way.
