That'll be a long concert.

Only got Ross Noble tickets to look forward to. Might have to get myself some Jimmy Carr ones.

Went to see Billy Connolly last night. Was apprehensive after hearing bad reviews of this current tour and stories of him walking off stage early if heckled.

But it was absolutely brilliant. He had the audience in the palm of his hand for 2hrs 45mins without a break. Not bad for a 69 year old.

I love Billy Connolly - I really hope I get to see him one day.

Can't stand Ross Noble.

I'm currently sat in the Hull City Hall waiting to see Sarah Millican moaning and whining about women's things.

Free night out though so can't complain too much.

Glad to hear this. Going to see him in brum in 2 weeks. Looking forward to it now.
Also got tickets for Dara, Rich Hall (seen him before twice), Doug Stanhope, and Stewart Francis. 3 of thos are all in May!

Oh, & Alan Davies has announced his first stand up tour for 10 years. Invested in tickets for warwick arts centre (cos I hate the alex in brum). That's not til november though.

You have my sympathy. Must've done something really bad in a previous life to have to do that.

There are a fair few jokes/stories that Connolly has rehashed and uses again, but didn't mind too much as they are funny however many times you hear them.

Last week also saw Jon Richardson play a secret pub gig to 50 people (not too impressed, was all a bit depressing) and Tom Stade, who although is one of my favourite comedians had lost his voice so finished his set after 15 mins.

Never seen him, & only see clips etc on tv, so it is likely everything will be new to me.
It is wierd. Hardly hearing about any bands announcing tours, yet even comedians who haven't toured in a while are going out on the road.

I saw lee evans in a warm up show before he's tour, saw him at the gatehouse in stafford. He pure brillant 2 and a half hours of nothing but laughs and I got invited to a micheal McIntyre show in birmingham oh dear oh dear he was just  unlike lee evans who was intresting and upto date and fun

I really want Jack Dee to announce his tour soon...he is doing some warm up shows at the moment, just praying he does one on a Friday or Saturday night in Wolverhampton/Birmingham...

Jack Dee is playing Stafford but the Sold Out signs are up.

Stewart Lee has announced a show at the civic on 25th may.

BTW has anyone ever seen Pete Firman before? Tempted to go see him at the slade rooms in march.

If that's the magic guy I was tempted also, but read some dodgy reviews so gave it a miss.

I haven't been to a comedy gig in a long time, been dropping some hints to the girlfriend about getting Kevin Bridges tickets but i dont think the penny has dropped, looks like i'll have to buy them myself.

My favourite comedy gig over the last 12 months has to be Greg Davies at Oxford Glee Club. I was front row and he was excellent.

Was meant to have seen him last year, had seats in the 2nd row but I was nailed by man flu so couldn't go. My friend who had my tickets loved it and the person she took with her had Greg Davies stood right in front of her so he could have ago at her for being a student

Just got back from Billy Connolly. Well, just finished the pizza I got on the way back...

Funny, in a lot of grins & sniggers. Mate who I went with was in tears though. Didn't quite get as lucky as you - only 2 hours. AFAIK he didn't walk off as reported.

Bit mad though. He couldn't hold on to a thread all the way through, & I'm sure there were a couple of stories he got sidetracked with early on which he forgot to return to. I'm still waiting to hear the story about Gordon & his arm in a sling...

Pissed myself at his stories of practical jokes though. that bit was superb!
