Comedians

Tickets for David Baddiel's new tour are on sale.

Just seen this tredders. Anyone who likes comedy that has thought behind it should treat themselves. His My Family (not the sitcom) show was superb.
Asked my brother to acquire me tickets for this as a birthday present. Think he's messaged me to say he's ordered them.

My family was great, my wife is not a big fan of live comedy but even she loved it. Got tickets for the new show too, not till April next year though..

mrs jelly wasn't keen, and I talked her round. She adored how honest my family was. She was exceptionally keen to see his new show.

I'm off to see Reg D Hunter tonight. Looking forward to it, as wanted to see him for a while, but never had the luck.

Saw Adam Kay a couple of weeks ago. He was funny, but fucking hell a left turn out of nowhere at the end! Jesus. There's a fuckload of emotion packed into an hour and a quarter. Definitely interested in acquiring his book now as a result.
The last 10 minutes was such a surprise, and so emotional (for him as well as the audience). Genuinely everyone was slammed into complete and utter silence. Compelling.

Reg Hunter will love you, seeing as you're the whitest white man since the tank commander in Kelly's Heroes.

the irony being that I went to see him with a 6 ft 4 black man, who's an absolute giant!

anyhow, just had an email advising alexei sayle is touring next year. can't recall seeing him be on tour for a long time!

bill bailey has announced a tour for next year. looks an interesting show, and I am tempted, but still am unsure whether to start buying tickets for stuff.

I say buy. Plan for things getting back to normal and give yourself something to look forward to rather than a life of fear and worry. If in 12 month times the situation is still the same then your money is returned or the gig rescheduled. If you are getting to December next year and nothing has changed then we are all fucked anyway.

Do what you have to do to live through this now but don't stop looking ahead, for your mental health if nothing else

I'm moving to your way of thinking mate. bought tickets for the fireworks at the safari park yesterday. met mrs jelly on bonfire night so it is our thing.
she was more reluctant, bu it's an outdoor event, and I did point out we if we don't start doing something, we'll never do anything again!

Where you in a wheelbarrow and Mrs Jelly threw a penny at you ?? :)

lets have a 24 hour free for all with the puns and insults, and I'll post a top ten tomorrow :)

I just don't get why they'd have fireworks at the Safari Park. Surely it'd shit the animals right up.

tickets acquired in summer 2019. went to the show last night (original date was 19 march last year.
excellent show. first half started to get a little samey, but loved the positive perspective.
2nd part was more emotional, especially the ending.
intelligent, and thought provoking comedy.
I will never hear the archers theme tune the same ever again.

as an aside, mrs jelly's new job recently had her working on a joe lycett work in progress show. she really enjoyed him (she didn't think she would) and also mentioned he was an absolutely lovely person off stage too.

<My tickets are rescheduled for early November, looking I might not be able to make it because of work commitments :(

if you can make arrangements, do so. I think you'd enjoy the show. I also think after 2 years, being able to do some social stuff is needed.
