Me and the missus went to see Ed Byrne tonight (last night) was great in 2 ways, I like his comedy and it was great to tick off another on the list of 'doing normal stuff again'.

Guess it will be the same show as we saw last night.....comedy is obviously subjective but me and the missus loved it.....nothing groundbreaking but funny all the same.

We are going to see Jo Lycett in Cardiff in the Spring.
Not really sure what to make of him. Looking forward to it though.

mrs jelly saw him do a WIP at her work. she met him briefly and said he was really nice. She enjoyed his show.
My stepdaughter works in a care home and he arranged for PPE deliveries at the start of lockdown.
I expect you'll enjoy yourself.

I see Jimmy Carr is the latest comedian to come under fire.

Watched His Dark Material last night. Did laugh out loud at some of the very insensitive jokes, felt very uncomfortable at others. Felt like a test of where your own moral compass sits never mind his, but I suppose that’s the idea.

Never really warmed to the fella before, but certainly admired his bravery and some of the jokes very, very clever.

Not too sure I’d want to see him again, but after some of that lot it’ll be interesting to see if we have a choice.

I suppose any joke is funny to the person that laughs at it and not funny to the person that doesn’t.

I thought there were numerous gags that crossed the line, it was brutal.

Can't remember who said jokes should punch up, sideways or nowhere, but never down.

I don't particularly like Jimmy Carr's act, but did watch that special. Can't say it offended me, but didn't make me laugh much either. Unscripted I quite enjoy him in an interview context

I don't quite get the controversy over it, do the people who are offended think he actually believes it's a positive gpsies were killed in the Holocaust?

I thought the joke was making a point about how gypsies are still regarded by society as a lower class of human by alot of society.
