Cardiff 0-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Vincent Tan was at the game today, first one he's been at since the Bluebirds were relegated from the PL.
Hope he enjoyed it.

Todays results have really got the leaders looking over their shoulders ,if we can keep the momentum going then there is a very strong possibility that we could gatecrash the automatic promotion battle.COME ON YOU WOLVES!!!

Just got back, what a fantastic day out :D

Great win, another three points

Looking forward to the trip to Bournemouth

Afobe played very well, great movement, great timing of runs, skill full on the ball

RVP, runs well with the ball, little end product, bottles out of 50:50 balls....tosser

but he's been a big player for us this season and it's madness to claim otherwise.

Like the rest of them he's had his moments but I wouldn't think he's been a big player for us. Not what I've seen in any case. Part of a team that won today though so therefore a very positive contribution. It's just a shame his brain isn't as quick as his legs.

I feel like people are expecting too much from Vlp, just because he's not for a great end product doesn't make him shit. It's a fact that he has provided numerous assists his season. Not sure why a couple of people are acting like he's as useless as Leon Clarke

He's been involved in ten league goals this season. Like him or not you can't deny that he's been crucial to our results this season.

Well, maybe not crucial but certainly ten goals is an important return on investment.

Afobe missed an absolute sitter today, just seen it on the FLS, one of those where either side of the keeper and it's in.

Consider that VLP has made a decent contribution to this season, but does frustrate at times.

You know he can put a great ball in & has done so on more than one occasion which have brought goals, but also often gets it totally wrong.

Has the pace to get past people, but often runs himself into a blind alley as well.

If he could perform to his best ability in a more consistent fashion then someone from the Premier league would have bid for him in Jan. He hasn't yet so they didn't. I had some worries when I first saw him that he wasn't interested in making the challenges he needed to & backed off rather than getting stuck in when needed - he is getting better at that & for me has been a positive signing this year

I'm not sure this logic quite follows. If every good Champ player was getting bid on by Prem teams then why aren't the top teams on the table picked clean every January? And why is Sako still here?

I understand the rationale behind the statement but I just don't see it follow through in reality too often.

I know I'm late to the party but I've just watched the goal cams from the last couple of games and Kuszczak's reactions are priceless. He's definitely endearing himself to me. Some good saves, too!

Was drunk forget this post happened

His contribution has been so great that I feel he's above the type of OTT criticism he's still getting. Strikes me as being very 'Keogh 08'. A judgement has been made and fans are sticking to it. He definitely doesn't deserve this 'shit technique', 'no end product' bollocks when he's proven those fans wrong on multiple occasions. He's not half as bad as you're making out, most managers in this division would kill for a player like Rajiv.

Tommy Rowe and Matt Doherty have made 'a contribution' this season but you wont find me pulling people up for slagging them off.

He hasn't proven to me he hasn't got shit technique though?

You need to stop being so protective of your baby and read what I have said.

I've said he is a good player and causes problems to the opposition. But he's rubbish at kicking a ball.

I'll stand here and tell you Tommy Ks kicking is dodgy and Batth distribution poor. That doesn't automatically make me a boo boy and wanted them out the team! Just because he is your favourite he is not immune from criticism.

I have not been OTT in my criticism at all and have justified everything I have said IMO. Don't get me confused with NWW who IMO is OTT for the reasons you have stated.

Grow up FFS.

This 'he can't kick a ball' shit is just bewildering. I've never seen such a bizarre criticism of a footballer.

Grow up? Thought I was being quite normal about the situation. Was just trying to get my head round why you hadn't read what I had put and were getting angry about it?

As i said, I have stated the reasons on the pre match thread. You haven't challenged me on these at all as you probably didn't read them and just got in a rage again.

Matt Jarvis' technique was shit, although we sold him for ££££ and he played for England. Although it did improve dramatically, our relegation season he was a new player.

Me saying his technique is shit doesn't mean I think he's shit. My opinion on his technique is formed from what I said in pre match thread. If I'm wrong give me a reason rather than just say 'utter bollocks' or 'grow up'.

'He can't kick a ball' is over the top nonsense. You might think his crossing delivery is poor or his striking technique isn't good enough but saying he can't kick a ball is a weird criticism of footballer
