Everton 1-1 Wolves - verdict thread

Another thing on the red card for Keane how do you accidentally pull someone’s hair? Pulling someone’s hair requires a gripped hand that in itself is deliberate act.

The little break now to our next League match is most welcome . It's at home and quite winnable . We'll take a look at Lima - probably on Saturday - and based on Edwards comments there is a fair degree of hope I would think that they are giving serious consideration to giving him a go in that position given our clear and obvious weaknesses there . Hoever is heading out on loan , Doherty is benched for now , so it looks like a clear shoot out between Lima and Jackson .
Mane will get a little break too - no harm either - he needs minding when you consider how vital he is to us right now .
Arias - I still have good hope for him . I think he will always struggle again big physical teams , where the Manager advocates that kind of approach .
J Gomes / Andre - Can they play together ? I wouldn't be writing that idea off at all . When the overall form of a team begins to slowly improves , then all players tend to improve as part of the collective unit - players who looked fragile 4 months ago are now playing with more confidence .
We now have so much more to play for right now than say a team like Fulham . We've have little to lose and recent matches have shown us that we can carve out results against tough opposition and play with a lot more swagger at home .
The mental side of this is huge - the performance in the first half last night versus the second half.....how much of that was mental as opposed to physical tiredness ?
Tolu is doing just fine - hard to know what JSL really wants . He is showing so little desire to improve which is unacceptable for a well paid person .
I'm not throwing a towel in just yet until the maths tell us we're down . It's a poor quality year in many respects for the Premier League with a fair few of the top six being quite beatable .

Fight with pride , fight with intelligence and fight with spirit and resilience and let's see where it takes us .

I have some sympathy with his view (although both need some sort of punishment) however what he thinks or me is irrelevant those are the rules so if you break them and get a red, dont whine about it.
Tbh both players should be ashamed of themselves for getting those reds in that manner anyway.

Let's face it the first red is ridiculous, but so are numerous others these days. The decision is correct, the rule a joke.

If Andy was only aware of how much applause he gets is sarcastic he’d be a lot less tolerant of this.

I can’t believe that people think yanking a player by the hair is not a red card, just a cunty thing to do and rightly given. Grealish could have been sent off numerous times for dissent after the Keane red as all he did was chase after the ref, point at him and looking at replays call him all sorts of names. Having not seen the Hwang challenge until on the way back home, that’s a red too. Shitehawk challenge that he does quite a bit and gets away with it.

You yank someone hair in public you can be arrested for assault. Because football is contact sport doesn’t give you leeway on this at no point in a game should you be in a position where you have to yank someone hair.

While we can discuss whether it should be a red card for hair pulling or not, I cant believe Keane is getting off so lightly for what is an embarrassing thing to do, something you'd have got pilloried for in the school playground when you were 10.

We've have little to lose and recent matches have shown us that we can carve out results against tough opposition and play with a lot more swagger at home .
Steady on. We played well against a poor West Ham side. In the previous home game against Brentford we were bloody awful, no swagger in sight. Things are looking better but let’s not get carried away.
