Not sure Raul ever had a chance to control it properly but if there was one, Tarkowski took it way. Correct call, IMO.

cant complain against burnley, they played really good defensive football. its not a jousting tournament where you match your opponent on the ground with honour, you gotta do the best you can with the squad you have, its fucking effective

They didn't though for me.

We were poor of our own making, sloppy passing, slow on thought, ponderous in possession.

Burnley did ok but we didn't stretch them nearly enough imo. They were good going forwards and caused us issues and Barnes could've had at least one more.

We got lucky with the pen decision, no doubt about it Monstrum.

If Raul hadn't been taken down, he would have been trying to control a shot that had spun at him with speed, with his back to goal and Burnley defenders all over him. The odds of him getting a shot off or making a pass to set up a goal would have been very slim,.so the penalty call was a massive favour for us.
