Brighton 3-3 Wolves: Verdict Thread

If you really think Jinky, or anyone else for that matter, is happy about witnessing another poor performance and result then you need to have a word with yourself. We are all fans, and you know what, some aren't blinded by the love of the club to shy away from.criticising and pointing out the faults. No point everyone saying everything is fine when it clearly isn't. Not everyone can be Nero...
No one has said happy, more wallowing

Nuno is safe as houses in my view. He’s lost his most important player in Raul, and has several other important first teamers also injured at the same time as transitioning and blooding youngsters is tough.

it’s been a tough period, and that’s why he needs some reinforcements this month, but there shouldn’t be any pressure on his job at all.
Hmmm he's a PL football manager, I'm not suggesting his job is in danger but you can't rest on your laurels in this game, or expect no pressure.

Our results are pretty poor at the moment, and aside from the Spurs and Utd games our performances have been a bit ropey too.

He's not untouchable or above criticism

I don’t think Fabio needs a loan. It’s just too much to expect him at 18 (for the type he is) to lead the line in the way we played.

if we relied less on our striker being able to hold it up, lead counter attacks etc it wouldn’t be so glaringly obvious. He gets into some good position and has good movement, but physically can’t do the job we require for 90 minutes.

If we can get a striker in before the next league game, this run of games will have done him some good in the long run
Nail on the head really. The lad is being asked to play up top on his own against proper centre halves and do what Raul does. He's got no hope. Looks a proper player when we have control of the ball and get players around him to bounce the ball to.

Interestingly we are still only 4 points from 6th - the table is horrifically congested...
It only takes one good run of results to be back in the upper mid table, but the problem is the consistency of performance doesn’t indicate that will come. Before this game I felt we needed a minimum of 6 from the next 3 to not just let this season fade out. Need to win these two upcoming home games now.

Nero? Going to hope that’s a typo and not suggestion that we are on fire.
Rather than subtle hints if you want Nuno out have the confidence in your opinions and say it.

Let's hope we get an experienced striker in then, or that Dendoncker and one of Boly/Marcal is ready at the very least.

God you really like to put words in people's mouths don't you? Very tedious...

I've mentally written this season off as a huge pre-season for next season
I hope not as if this is what we are working to then somebody needs the bin.

I'm hoping we write the season off and start playing a little better and less defensive minded.

We're a good side when on the front for but defensively and in mindset we are way too slow and ponderous. If we're going to play possession football that tempo needs to be upped a great deal and stop knocking it around at the back.

I'm sure Nuno can do this.

The way I read it his opinion is more that all is not right.

Why does saying that get fast tracked to 'he wants Nuno out'?

Just like anyone having a moan gets told their not really Wolves supporters, or they should leave the forum or some other nonsense

I'm with Johnny - I have total faith in Nuno to turn this around and build it. We're just not consistent at the moment, but the intention is definitely there and there are flashes.

Will we finish lower than 7th this season? Probably.

Signing players to use on occasion but clearly to be used regularly in the future, impossible to foresee we’d have so many injuries.
I think there's a fair amount to unpick about that Summer window that goes beyond injuries. Major part of the budget blown on a project, no centre forward alternative - the Raul injury in year 3 was a possibility after going 2 seasons without it. Deciding to go 4 at the back when it's probably not best suited to any of your centre halves, but not signing one it is and certainly not what you have in mind with most of your full back recruitment.

Too early to judge the window in the longer term, for this season it was a mess though and plenty had those concerns without hindsight

What suggesting Nuno is like Nero? Saying it’s the end of the line for Nuno is a valid opinion, why not just be open about it.

Felt sorry for Silva again tonight, he was poor but he'd cope ok if we had the rest of our first team available, the whole team second half was poor, Traore our best hope. We need a decent experienced striker asap and keep Fabio for sub appearances.

Think the 4 doesn’t really suit Semedo and RAN either - switching between 4 and 5, and making a handful of changes each game has really unsettled us.
