In principal the idea of assessing Asylum as quickly as possible and preventing criminal trafficking gangs making money from people in dire straights is a good one.On another issue, we are in talks to send asylum seekers to Rwanda or Albania to process their claims.
...but these are migrants who arrive in Britain after the perilous journey to and across Europe being flew out to Rwanda (Albania are denying it).In principal the idea of assessing Asylum as quickly as possible and preventing criminal trafficking gangs making money from people in dire straights is a good one.
I don't think it affects existing claimants but is aimed at migrants having a safe place to go rather than a perilous journey across Europe.
I'm not sure Albania, home to many a trafficking ring, is the best place to do it mind you. And I don't trust these fuckers in charge not to use it as some sort of political weapon against forriners.
I never imagined I’d dislike a PM more than Thatcher but she was a beacon of caring and decency by comparison with Johnson. He has no redeeming features and has surrounded himself with a cabinet that lacks ability and has a nasty streak like no cabinet ever before. He is the worst ever
I hated Thatcher more than anyone in the world...this was my youth, but at least she had a vision, a plan, she had an idea of what she wanted to achieve. This twat is just a self serving, arrogant, wannabe hero with no redeeming features, lightweight, self serving egotistical shit show. How the fuck did he get elected to be London mayor, foreign secretary, PRIME FUCKING MINISTER...I'll never know...the sooner he's gone the better...There are not many people I wouldn't vote for rather than him.I

There’s no doubt the Unions needed reigning in but the way Thatcher went about it was vindictive. In her favour she did have a cabinet with a few competent ministers, whereas Boris pushed many good people to the sidelines and was left with a load of sycophants who like himself have few if any morals, they just like being in power. I’m pretty sure That her would never have given cabinet posts to the likes of Williamson and Ahapps and the likes of Patel and Raab would have been held accountable for their actions. It’s a sad state of affairs and largely brought about because so many voters wanted Brexit sorted simply because they were sick of the ongoing impasse under May and because they couldn’t stomach the idea of Corbyn as PM. I suspect an increasing number are beginning to think he couldn’t have been any worse.I hated Thatcher more than anyone in the world...this was my youth, but at least she had a vision, a plan, she had an idea of what she wanted to achieve. If the person running the recruitment procees was an old mate from Eton, maybe not - the upper classes don't play by the same rules as the rest of us. Stick any regional accent on Johnson and he never gets through the door of the Daily Telegraph in the first place. If someone, anyone, went for a top job at some big company doing whatever, and a background check showed that they had twice been fired for lying, that would probably be that, application in the bin. This guy gets to run the country...
Why?There’s no doubt the Unions needed reigning in
In many peopje’s vie they were going well beyond the scope of what the role of a TU was. You might disagree but Thatcher was elected on that mandate. Scargill turned the miner’s strike into something much bigger and tried to bring the government down yet never had a democratic mandate from the members which typified how many Union leaders operated. Why?
Absolutely, I was a staunch unionist in the 70/80s but was appalled at the misuse of Union members by wannabe left wing politicians masquerading as Union leaders, treated them like their personal army. As always while the unions needed some form control, it swung too far the other way and now union's are dead in the water. In many peopje’s vie they were going well beyond the scope of what the role of a TU was.
