He should be suspended himself
During the debate, Jacob Rees-Mogg was asked by Labour's Stephen Timms how the government could have stood by the "brazen wrongdoing" of Mr Paterson.
The Commons leader pointed to the death of his colleague's wife Rose, who took her own life in 2020, saying: "It was the tragedy inflicted on Mr Paterson that coloured and clouded my judgement incorrectly.
"It is as simple and sad as that."
I've just watched it back. Johnson should have been forced to apologise the accusing Kier Starmer of misconduct. PMQ's should have stopped until he did. If we wouldn't he should have been kicked out of the session.About time Hoyle grew some balls
They also represented Gina Miller, as a result Starmer declined to carry out future work back in 2017 because of his role in the LP's Brexit 'strategy'.That’s because Starmer did work for Mishcon de Reya. Big legal firm who were legal reps for the Princess of Wales.
Hoyle has clearly run out of patience with him so I hope to see similar episodes on a weekly basis.
We live in a banana republic.1210 - Fat Alex “we will release all the documents relating to the award of contracts to Randox”
1430 - the minutes of a vital phone call relating to Randox appear to have been mislaid.
I'll be interested to see the response from the leader of the Northern Research Group who raised a question in PMQs yesterday regarding the manifesto promises.More 'broken promises' for HS2 and The NPH.
Absolutely spot on - the average person who doesn't live in the south east will still lose most of their equity if they are unfortunate enough to have to go into a care home. It'll deepen inequality terribly and the north south divide will just keep growing and growing. It's disgusting normal people are going to be funding millionaires keeping their homes, the media hasn't made anything of it of it, wonder why that is.I'll be interested to see the response from the leader of the Northern Research Group who raised a question in PMQs yesterday regarding the manifesto promises.
On a separate issue the Social care plans released yesterday show that the Government Plan, which we are going to pay extra NI for, will effectively be a tax on the working population to prevent (property) rich homeowners in the South from losing their assets.
