But if they are up there and don't clear it then they get denied promotion. And that would be fucking hilarious.
Lolz
VILLA. Steve Bruce won't be making the signings. New chiefs going down Wolves route. Mendes maybe find them some. Looking for high class loan to buy jobs.
There new owners are saying Grealish is no longer for sale, so it looks like they are risking just getting a fine from FFP. I hope the EFL throw the book at them.

The irony of this situation as Villa and their fans were the ones stamping their feet about foul play by us where this would just be a case of sticking two fingers up to the EFL and the rest of the league. The pure hypocrisy at that club is unbelievable.
Hmmmmm
So what if they appreciate these assets, and suddenly Grealish is worth £50m in the books for FFP purposes to get out of their hole, but then Grealish demands a move and Spurs will only pay £20m??
That becomes a £30m hole in the FFP accounts then. So basically while they employ this tactic to get through FFP they basically CANNOT sell a player at any value under what they have appreciated them to. They are front loading potential asset value rises. I can't see the EFL accepting that comfortably or every club will do the same.
Hell, in the top flight we could then declare Neves was worth £100m and have £85m more to spend. I can't see it flying with the authorities at all.
I was about to post this - no doubt I'll hear plenty more about this at work next week.
I wonder if any other EFL clubs will ask the league to investigate them..?
If they’re sat in mid table know one will bother, but like first season under Fosun no one gave a shit about us.
If Villa keep Grealish and bring back Snodgrass I have a feeling they’ll be in the mix at the end of the season.
Even if they get an embargo in January I don’t think it’ll bother them to much.
They’re basically avoiding the FFP issue and hoping they’ll wave goodbye to the EFL come May so it won’t be a problem.
But if FFP is done correctly by the EFL they won’t be able to wave goodbye to it even if they won the league by 100 points.
