Aston Villa

They aren't though really, forest are still twice as big

Wow, they are so screwed.

Yep - where else are they getting £9m quickly, they have put charges on every car park land they own to cover this month. Plus they are negotiating with Levy.

They are still £15m apart on Grealish. Spurs are at £15m, Villa £30m. I think it'll get done at about £20m with half or more up front or £15m all in one go.

Levy almost always wins in a negotiation. And this is a distress sale.

"I'll give you £9m now. Or I walk away for a couple of weeks and get a bargain when you go pop"

Not really sure what he’s worth. Obviously we’ve paid massively under the odds for Jota and Neves, so you can’t really use them as markers.

If Maddison has gone for over £20m they can expect to get between £15m - £20m

Think of the market though.

If you are going bust in two weeks without £9m cash injection then you will take that just to survive.

They can get £20m for him but the longer he stays and the more the debt worries grow the less that transfer fee becomes.

They will want a high % of that fee up front as well, staggered payments does not suit their needs.

Sadly they’ll will get a decent price regardless as they are jammy shits who will get away with this gross mismanagement.

I hope he goes for sub £10m. Would be hilarious

I'd guess levy would bid five million, get haggled up to seven or eight then it'll be take it or leave it

Looks like villa could be going from dodgy Chinese owner to shady middle East consortium.
