December fixtures (inc 1st Jan)

Leicester A
Spurs H
Man United H

Everton Home is Halloween weekend...
That's a perfect start for me. Three of the best teams in the first three weeks. Two draws or a win and its fine. Imagine if you got Brentford Norwich Watford and lost the lot? This gives Lage a chance to show his mettle against the best from the outset. None of those teams will be coming for a point.

Wow. Tough start. December looks horrific. Tough finish.

Good luck Mr. Lage!

It gives him some breathing room if we don't pick up points early. I'm sure Lage is happy with that as there will be no expectations.

They were our first away game in 18/19 too I think?

Villa in August:

Watford A
Newcastle H
Brentford H

All very well and good saying no pressure on the first 3 games, but it puts a hell of a lot on the 4th and 5th.

I don't agree with that anyway, we shouldn't be expecting to lose to Spurs at home

Liverpool Home always seems to be in December on the build up to Christmas too

Its the Prem, there will be pressure on every game.

We get zero points from the 3 and people will be saying Nuno would have got us 4 points, 5 points etc. I think the only way he gets through the 3 games winless and not have people quickly turning is if we perform to a similar standard in the game we lost v Spurs under Nuno (utter daylight robbery)

Leicester has been the first away game of the season in every season we have physically been able to attend.

Don’t see any reason we can’t come out the first 3 games with 4 points.

Too much is read into fixtures anyway. If you’re calling 40% of the fixture list a “tough game”, then it’s not that crazy to play 3 of them in the space of 5 games. That also means you’re playing run of the shit teams at one stage too.

You’ve got to play everyone twice. Doesn’t matter when.
